CHAPTER TWO***

We've been driving for three hours now. Aunt Winona said we'd be there in about half an hour. I'm just ready to get there, unpack and finish my senior year off so I can leave and go to college. My goal is to be a doctor. To help those in need. I want to change the world. The human and supernatural one.

Uncle James has been filling me in on how and who everyone is. So far I've learned that my uncle is the beta , second in command to the Alpha. Whose name is Richard. Evidently he's a sweet and kind man until you make it on his bad side and then he can be as mean and cruel as he wants. His wife died a few years back from a rogue attack and he still has a hard time with it. He has two kids. His son Dean will be taking over today actually and in a few months will marry the soon-to-be Luna Lauren. Although she isn't his mate they love each other as if they are. They've been together since they were freshman and now are in the first year of college. His daughter Katie is somewhat of a trouble maker. Sweet and nice but has a stubborn side she got from her mother.

Aunt Winona and Uncle James have four kids. Three boys, one girl. Joey and Zoey are my age and are twins. They're best friends and are together all the time. They also team up with Kate most of the time which kind of makes them like the three musketeers. Thomas is the oldest and is already out of college and has his our family with his mate kristy. However still comes over and is around just as much as the others. The youngest is five and is a little devil himself. It's hard to keep him still even at bed time. His nam is Jacob.

"Does Nathan know about you're father Elizabeth?" I stiffen at his name an shake my head.

"No, he left awhile back. I have no way to reach him"

"Oh, no! I can't believe that . Poor child doesn't even know his owe father is gone. James we have to try to find him once we get home. He won't be able to be here for the funeral but he still needs to know."

My uncle nods agreeing "yes dear, we'll hire someone to find him so we can contact him. How long did he leave Elizabeth?"

"Oh, I don't know. Around eleven years I believe . I was seven which would have made him eighteen. Yeah that's about right."

He sighed and said "this might be harder than I thought, we can try but it's going to be hard"

We rode in silence the rest of the way. Me starring out of the window watching the buildings and trees pass by and them holding hands and humming to the song that was flowing through the speakers. We passed a library, town hall, shops, and restaurants. It was kind of a small town . Like one that would be on a movie. There was people walking around happily. Children playing at the park. Couples kissing and holding hands. Teenagers standing around talking and playing basketball. It all seemed like the perfect place. But I know that everyone has their secrets. Nothing is as good as it seems no matter what it is.

"We're here" finally.

"I'll grab the bags and Winona can show you to your room. And then ill start dinner and we can eat go to bed so we can be ready for tomorrow. Hows that sound?" My Uncle said.

"I sounds great" I plaster a fake smile on my face and get out of the car following my aunt up the drive into the house. Wow. It's beautiful. I don't even know how to explain it. It's again like something out of a movie. Two story cream house, red shutters, red door, and a cream fence. The inside is elegant yet homey. Pictures of their family on the walls and over the fireplace. As she lead me upstairs I continue looking around noticing all of my surroundings. She lead me to the second door on the right.

"Kristy and I decorated the room for you. I hope you like."

I smiled at her and walked in the room. My smile dropped a little as I looked. But was quickly covered up before she could notice. "I love it. Thank you so much. For everything you've done for me."
