"DJ! Can you come in say, 20 minutes early tomorrow? I ordered some new sound equipment and I'll need some help unloading it. "

"Of course, anything to help you, Goldilocks!" Dinah assured her boss, Tori, with a laugh as she packed up the last of her things.

"Hmm, hurry up and leave before I decide to dock your pay" Tori jested as she playfully pushed the taller girl.

A ringing noise followed by fast paced footsteps stopped the two girls from continuing their banter.

"I'm so sorry! My professor kept going on and on about painting techniques and- oh my god, I need to work out more...." Lauren rambles on as she nears the two girls whom are standing in the far left of the music store, staring at her with quirked eyebrows.

"Damn Lauser, relax you still have-" Dinah pauses as she checks the time on her phone "- about 5 minutes before your shift starts." She chuckles as she looks at the girl in front of her, who is still trying to catch her breath.

"Three minutes... But okay" Lauren pants out before setting her bag down and clocking in.

"You two are something else, I swear." Tori teases as she strolls back into her office with a small smile on her face.

For the next few minutes Lauren and Dinah chat lightly before Dinah announces that she has to leave, being that she had arrangements to meet their friends Normani and Ally for lunch at a coffee house across campus.

"When's Z's next game?" inquired the raven haired girl as the pair walked outside.

"Tonight actually, but it's at Sac State. The next home game is next week, why?"

"Just wondering, you gonna be there cheering for Zendaddy?" Lauren's smirk was quickly replaced with a pout as the younger girl slapped her on the back of the head.

"I'm telling Ally to drag your ass to church with her this Sunday" Dinah chuckled as she got in her car.

"See you later, Lauser" She waved to the Lauren as she backed out of the parking lot and started off down the street.

As her car came to a stop at an intersection, Dinah let out a long sigh. She couldn't wait to get back to her apartment and just relax, maybe watch her girlfriends game on tv. With final exams starting next week she was studying nonstop, and when she wasn't studying or in class, she was working at the shop.

When the light turned green she slowly pressed down on the accelerator, not aware of the car that was speeding towards her from the right hand side. As the car hit, it seemed as if everything went in slow motion. She could hear metal crunching and glass shattering all around her, gasoline and burning rubber were the only things that she could smell. Her lungs constricted as she felt an excruciating pain in her lower back before everything went black.

After she regained consciousness a few minutes later, everything seemed all too calm considering what had happened just minutes ago. In the midst of the crash her car had been flipped and she was currently hanging upside down. Her eyes darted around, and even though her vision was blurred, she could see several people along with flashing lights rushing towards the two cars that had been totaled in the accident. In an attempt to get herself out of the car, Dinah unbuckled the seatbelt, however, she regretted it almost immediately as she dropped down and landed on her side on the roof of the car causing her to black out almost instantaneously.

-

"Maybe I should call her ag-"

"Ally, you've called her like ten times now... Maybe she got caught up at work?" Normani says to the smaller girl in an attempt to calm her down.
