Natía
"W-what are you doing here, Vincent?" I questioned, slowly creeping and inching towards him through the thick awkward tension in the air.
He snapped his head up at me, Calvin's keys and my engagement ring he gave me in his hands. His jaw bones bulged as he clinched and gritted his teeth. He was angry.
"I thought you said you'd never take it off." He shook his head, swallowing the ring in his big hands.
"Vin--" I began to speak but before I could get a word out he threw the ring towards me and I jumped when it got the floor. My heart pummeled in my chest as I watched him storm towards me.
"Who's keys are these, Tia?" I was quiet as he backed me onto the back door that lead to the back porch. "Answer me !" He spat, holding the keys before me.
"Mecca's." I lied but tried to signal that it wasn't true.
"Yeah, right. Mecca's keys has an infinity sign keychain, not a Haitian flag keychain. Now, who the fuck is Calvin?" He threw the keys into the hamper and grabbed me by my chin to force my attention on him. "Who. The. Hell. Is. Calvin?"
"Why the hell are you here and where were you last night? Answer that since you want to interrogate people." I replied, crossing my arms and burning my glare into his.
"Don't fucking play turntables, Natía. You fucking him?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Who is him, Vincent?" The tf face was in effect, up until Vincent's palm and fingers wrapped around and caved in on my neck, pinning me to the door.
"I am not fucking playing with you, Natía." He released me after lecturing me on how he knew some other man was here and was going to find out only to grasp tightly onto the towel I wrapped around myself and drag me upstairs while my phone rang off of the hook from the bathroom.
"You have a phone call from (310) 768 - 4493."
Calvin
"Hello?" Mecca's unfamiliar voice rang out into my ears over the low hum of the radio playing "These Walls" by Kendrick Lamar.
"Hey, Mec. This is Calvin, have you heard from Natía? I called her a couple times but she didn't answer so I figured she was probably talking to you." I smirked, it sounded as if I was saying Natía didn't have any other friends other than Mecca.
"Like the nickname, Mec' and yeah, we talked this morning but that was like an hour ago before she said she was going to take a shower. How long ago was your last call?" She asked, it was like talking to the police.
"Umm... l-like five minutes." I was embarrassed of my anxiety and hastility.
"Whoa, someone's obsessed." She teased and I sucked my teeth trying to play it off but I knew I was a little bit obsessed.
"Whatever, do you know of she's home because I'm on my way to get my keys and take her to see my parents at the hospital when I take my moms car back then get my car and come back to help set up for her Christmas sleepover." I explained in the best way possible but in my head I realized that it's only been a day and I've kissed, had sex with, and helped this girl, now she's going to meet my moms and pops, it was crazy.
"Yeah, she should be, I just rode past half an hour ago and her car was there but do you have a friend that resembles you in every way possible. I'm trying to get married within a week, too." She joked but was still serious.
"Yeah, he's just a could inches shorter than me but we basically grew up together. His name is Dominic and he cool. I'll make sure I got him up and she if he can make the party, at least, tonight. I got you." I laughed but I was really for real.
