Natía

After the altercation with Frankie, we finished eating and pretended that it didn't happen. Now we were in the living room just having casual conversation. Calvin and I were trying to help Mecca and Dominic get to know each other.

"How did you and Calvin grow up together?" I asked, curious to know.

"He was the only kid in the block who wasn't annoying and had a Sega Genesis. We were in the first grade and I went to his house everyday. We used to get in trouble for dry humping pillows at our sleep overs and I stopped him from being bullied. Plus neither of us had brothers or sisters so we were basically brothers since pull-ups were the shit." Dominic explained, dapping Calvin.

That explained why Calvin's bed game was... You know what, nevermind. Just know that practice made perfection.

"Nothing but love and that was life. My pillow was my first girlfriend before Tia, we had so many kids." Calvin joked, I blushed a little bit at the fact that I'm as lucky as that pillow.

"What about yall?" Dominic questioned and I let Mecca answer.

"We've been friends since the salt became a thing, we talked about and solved each others problems but she solved mine mostly. All those boys I liked still don't know my name." Mecca said, shaking her head.

"You must not like me then." Dominic murmured, smirking in Mecca's direction.

"Except Nic." Mecca smiled.

"How would yall combine yall names?" Calvin nudged me in the side, grinning.

"Dominecca." "Meccanic." They answered at the same time and smiled at each other.

"Aw, you guys are cute but this is boring, what else do you guys wanna do?" I questioned, laying my head on Calvin's shoulder.

"Oh, Dominic what'd you text me under the table when we were eating?" Calvin instigated and Dominic mouthed for him not to say anything until Mecca looked at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Dominic ran his fingers through his hair as Calvin pulled out his phone and opened his messages between him and Nic. "Cal, okay! Don't pull it--oh my god." Nic sucked his teeth.

"You want me to read it out loud ?" Calvin laughed.

"No, please don--" Nic started with his hands hiding his face.

"Too late. It says, 'Cal, Mecca is pretty as hell and I'm sitting here trying to keep myself from kissing her. Say something the distract me.' That was when I started talking about how big the house was and the thought of my kids sliding down the steps. Then he said,'Is it bad that I'm staring at this girl and listening to her talk about kids that I hope will be mine after I put a ring on her finger?' I told him to stop being a creep and just tell you that he likes you." Calvin locked his phone.

"Did you say that ?" Mecca inquired but Nic got up and walked to the bathroom and closed the door. "Look at what you did." Mecca whispered as if Dominic could hear her.

"Go check on him." Calvin and I whispered in unison loudly on purpose.

"Oh." It finally clicked in her head what we were doing and she got up then walked down the hall, leaving me and Calvin alone.

"So where were we?" I asked, toying with Calvin's bottom lip.

"Mm-mm. Remember you splashed me with that water?" He reminisced and pushed my hand away until I apologized. "Okay, maybe you can have one kiss. Just one." He chuckled.
