In high school, Halsey was in a theater group called the "Country Gate Players," and says that she never had a lead role. "I guess I wasn't destined to be a star," she jokingly says. She was always in the ensemble. "Never got a lead role, always ensemble," she laughs.
Once they did High School Musical, and she had the part as a cheerleader in the background.
