"'Mizuki, wake up we have a banquet today. And it's your birthday." I rubbed the sleep away from my eyes and got up. "Go take a bath, your hair looks like a rat nest." Why did that voice sound so familiar? I got up up and stretched. Walking to the bathroom I felt strange, like something was really off.
After I took a shower I walked over to a mirror and what I saw scarred me. I was tiny, why was I tiny? Did my magic mess up? No, I've done that spell before and mastered it at the first try. But why was I tiny? Did I go back in time? I ran to the window. I saw snow covering the high walls of the castle. "Oh shit" I really did go back, but how? "Mizuki hurry up, breakfast is almost ready!" I went over to my bed and put on the dress that was laid out and my hat. It wasn't to flashy, it was a very light blue and had snowflakes sewn into the soft fabric at the bottom. It was long, but my birthday is in the winter and its always cold in the kingdom.
I walked out of my room and was quickly pushed back into my room. "Vhat the hell?" I almost forgot about the silly accent that me and my father shared because of the hellish curse. "Your hair is a mess and wet, honestly do you even care?" All in all I really didn't give a damn in the past or now. "Go sit down I'll do your hair for you." I walked to the black wooden vanity and sat down. I never really let anyone do my hair except for people I trust. She took off my hat and set it down and grabbed the brush. "Since it's your birthday I'll let you decide how you want your hair." I huffed and slouched which was returned with a pinch to my side. "Whatever I don't care. Hmm well maybe that thing you did last year for the moon festival." She nodded and began working on my hair. I never really liked my hair, it was wavy, which was really rare in the kingdom.
After what felt like forever it was finally time to go somewhere, I have no clue where. My mind was else where. "Princess Mizuki you look lovely this day, n-not that you're not lovely any other day." I kept waking I didn't want talk to him but he kept rambling on about god knows what. "Joseph, please shut your mouth. If your going to talk, mind your words and talk about what interests me." I tried sounding polite but that didn't get far. My eldest brother came in with a big sly grin on his face. "You two fight like an old married couple." Only Joseph blushed and started stating that we weren't. "Here's some paper work Mizu." I took the papers and mumbled a 'thanks' before walking away.
