Brrring! Brrring! I woke up to the sound of someone's alarm clock. "Hey!" A lot of people shouted. "Alright, alright." The kid muttered. We dragged ourselves out of bed. Just then a horn sounded. A few people cursed under their breath. I rolled up my sleeping bag and waited in line for a bathroom. When I got in I used the toilet and brushed my teeth. As soon as I came out I was pushed into a line. I was last. I asked the kid in front of me what was happening and he said that this was breakfast. Ok. I thought and followed in line.
We reached the table and sat down as a centaur, Chiron I think, was saying the announcements. "And the hunters are coming soon so we will have our annual game with them Friday." Everyone cheered. "Who are the hunters?" I whispered to the guy next to me.
"They're a bunch of girls that follow Artemis." He must have seen my face because he laughed. "They're sworn off men, so don't get any ideas."
"I wasn't." He must have seen me blush because he laughed and said, "Yeah, right." I blushed some more and turned back to Chiron. "We also have two new campers today. Michael and Tyler Keeney! Stand up please, Michael." I stood up and waved then sat back down. After breakfast, well part of a breakfast, darn gods, I went to the infirmary to see Tyler. By now he was sitting up and talking. "Hey, Tyler." I said. He looked up at me and grinned. "Wazzup?" He asked.
"Not much."
"Have you found out our godly parent yet?"
"Nope, but we do know he is male."
"Cool."
"Follow me, we have sword fighting class next." I said with a smile and pulled him up.
As we walked, we talked about what Tyler missed. Eventually we found our way to the sword fighting arena. When we stepped in, I saw the guy who had saved us hacking away at dummies. We waited for a while, waiting for him to notice us. Finally he did. "Hey." I called.
"What's up? You guys the new ones?"
"Yep."
"Cool." He said then he frowned.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's just that, you two seem so familiar....." He trailed off.
"I don't think we've met before."
"Yeah, me neither." He said, clearly stumped. "Anyways, ready for a sword lesson?" We nodded our heads. He went to a shack and pulled open the door. "Well," he said, "we've got to get you a weapon first." He pulled out a twenty four inch sword and handed it to me. I instantly dropped it. "Oops." I said. "Hhhmmmm. How about this." He said and handed me a six inch dagger. It still didn't feel right. I shook my head and set it down. I scratched my head. I have no explanation for what I did next. I pulled off my glasses (A/N yes, yes he has glasses.) and pushed the gem on the bridge. See, my dad gave me these glasses when I was little, before he left, that is. Anyways, the glasses morphed into a perfectly fitting bow. "Sweet." I said. The boy just stared at the bow. "Hhmmm. If yours does that then..." my brother trailed off. He reached in his pocket and brought out his reading glasses. He pressed the gem in his and it also morphed into a bow, but with a lighter wood color. The boy just stood there looking at us strangely. "What?" I asked. "Well, I have pen that does something like that." He pulled out a ballpoint pen and uncapped it. The pen grew until the boy was holding a sword. We just stared at him. "Well," he began, "I guess we should introduce you to Will Solace."
