Author's Note
Yes I do suck that much that I write Christmas-themed chapters while it isn't Christmas. Do I care? Also happy new year! 2016 yay much exciting

All of those nights that they've slept in the same room and they never found out they had the same music taste or just made it up, and then they casually meet each other in the hallways and it's like 2005 all over again.

"Is your cat still alive?" Dan asks. Phil chuckles and covers his mouth with his right hand.

"You could've just asked how James is doing," Phil replies. "You put your questions really weird. So, is your son alive?" They both laugh.

"I'll take that as a "Yeah, James is doing great!", then." Someone from their year passes and they both immediately follow her.

"Hold on!" Phil calls and the girl turns around. "We forgot the password." The blonde laughs, shakes her head and moves her hand without saying a single word. The British guys both follow the student up the stairs and she tells the Fat Lady the password. Dan sighs and never knew the common room could be so uplifting, it feels like home.

Phil on the other hand, growls and the only happy thing in the room is his cat. James meows and walks up to the two. Its paws make no noise on the soft, red carpet and his eyes shine with satisfaction. Fully ignoring each other after climbing through the portrait, they separately walk to the sleeping section without noticing each other.

They are both sat on Phil's bed, as close as normal, straight friends would sit. From here you have an amazing view on the terrain of Hogwarts.

"This place truly is magical." Phil comments. He smiles.

"Phil, can I tell you something?" Dan suddenly asks. There is nobody else in the room. Without waiting for a response, he continues. "I think I like someone."

"That's amazing! Who is she?" Phil asks, extremely excited. Dan coughs.

"He." he corrects his friend. Phil lets out a small "oh".

"Well, what is his name then?" he asks, still as excited as before. Dan forces a smile.

"Draco. Draco Malfoy."

Phil sits on the same bed they sat on two years ago, trying to clean his mind. His eyes suddenly pay attention to the bedstand. If it weren't for the House-elves, it wouldn't have been cleaned for two years. He gets up and immediately notices a golden object.

There are two other people in the room, one being Neville Longbottom and the other Dan. Phil grips the Time Turner with both his hands and places it onto his lap. He totally forgot about it until now.

I can rewind everything I did! At least, what he's done this afternoon. He looks at Dan. I can't mess with his memory.

Instead, he takes out his iPhone and his Music Player. Concentrated on downloading Northern Downpour, he doesn't notice Neville leaving and Dan sitting next to him. "Hi," Phil jumps.

Phil mumbles something back, still having his (now divided-) attention on the phone. "I think it's time for dinner." Dan's voice sounds cold, colder than normal. "Okay." Phil simply replies.

After downloading the rather depressing song, they both walk downstairs. In the middle of their journey, Phil suddenly stands still. "I can't be seen with you." he just states.

He then takes off, pacing to the Great Hall, leaving his "friend" behind. Dan is slightly hurt, though he hadn't expected otherwise. Knowing he'd be late, he takes his time, step by step. The staircase is way longer when you're alone, though you only notice when you are actually alone.

"Why are you late?" Draco mouths to Phil. Phil just nods and takes place at his table. At that moment, Dan Howell chimes in (A/N with a haven't you people ever heard of) and quickly sits down next to Phil.

"Christmas is coming up!" Dumbledore states and the crowd starts cheering and screaming. Phil constantly looks at Dan while everyone is losing their minds about some stupid santa.

"It sounds like I have something excited to say, but really, I don't." the headmaster says. "So here's your food."

"Why are you sitting so close?" Phil hisses to Dan. He simply ignores it and starts eating his chicken. Phil lets out an accidental, relieved sigh and looks at the ceiling. Since it's winter, the sky has been dark at dinner for the last couple of weeks. There is one single star.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Dan asks Phil.

"Don't talk to me!"

It shouldn't hurt, therefore they weren't friends and Phil has said they shouldn't be seen together, but it does hurt Dan. A lot. He puts his chicken down as his hunger suddenly faded away. The Gryffindor and Slytherin tables are placed next to each other, everything Dan or Phil does will be seen by Draco and his crew.

"Hey, Howell!" Malfoy says confidently. Dan turns around slowly. "Merry Christmas." Phil also turns to the two, not like anything would happen in this Hall, while they were being accompanied by hundreds of students. Dan just nods.

"Don't think everything we did earlier today was all." Draco adds. For a moment, Dan looks terrified. He then gazes at Phil, looking for help. His stare is being returned with a hateful smirk.

(A/N it's 3am and I felt a rush of inspiration which wasn't exactly returned by this app as it crashed after I finished this chapter. lets craft and type everything again oh well)

͛

Everyone is full and fed after the dinner and desserts. Dan walks to the Gryffindor tower, feeling sick in his stomach. Behind him Phil tries to catch up on him, still following on a safe distance. None of the boys know about the Slytherins following both of them.

Phil feels someone tapping on his shoulder and he turns around. "Hush," Malfoy whispers. He points at Dan, and Phil nods before he's fully aware of what he's doing. The group follows Dan for a couple more minutes, getting closer and closer.

Dan notices soon enough and quickly rushes into a bathroom. Draco's smile grows even wider.

It might seem weird, an entire group of teenagers walking into the bathroom all at once. Phil hopes someone does qualify this situation weird and notifies some teacher of some kind.

Dan stands in front of a sink. The following seconds of silence are as if in slowmotion, the running water the only sound.

Dan looks into the mirror at the group of Slytherins, slowly realizing what's about to happen. He stops the tap and the slow breathing of all the boys is growing louder and louder.

Draco stretches his neck, to which Dan responses with raising his left brow. It's just a matter of time before someone gets their wand and the battle will begin.

It could also be a verbal fight, or not a fight at all, just a beating. Whatever Draco's intention was, it wasn't going to turn out great for either Dan and Phil. Out of all things that could happen, no one expected the following.

"Let's play a game,"
