Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy starred in Fury Road. It is tipped to pick up best film at tonight's awards and is also a frontrunner to win Miller best director.
Fury Road, the fourth chapter in Miller's post-apocalyptic franchise, scored a best film prize at the National Board of Review in the US this month and is a strong contender at next year's Oscars.
"Everyone keeps talking about the chances of the film getting nominated, which would be awesome and would be so fun to go to but nothing really hits me until it happens," Eaton said.
Fury Road was Eaton's first film role and she will follow it up with a lead alongside Gerard Butler, Brenton Thwaites and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in Gods Of Egypt when it is released in February.
THE budding romance between Aussie model turned actor Courtney Eaton and former Disney star Ross Lynch is going strong.
The couple will spend Christmas together in the R5 singer's home state of Colorado in the US.
Lynch inadvertently announced the pair are dating on social media in September when he posted an image on Instagram kissing the Mad Max: Fury Road star.
"When people first started noticing me around (Ross) my Instagram got shut down and my phone turned off," Eaton told Confidential.
"I had a small Instagram with just my friends and things and I had so many likes coming through it shut my phone down. The fans are really supportive."
After Christmas, Eaton is planning on celebrating New Year's in Las Vegas although at 18 she's not legally allowed to drink in the US until she is 21.
"I'm having Christmas in Colorado and New Year's in Vegas," she said.
She is expected to return to Australia soon though with Lynch and his band, R5, due here next month for a national tour. They're slated to play Sydney's Luna Park Big Top on January 17.
"They have an album called Sometime Last Night and it is funk rock, it is awesome," said Eaton, who will next be seen on the big screen opposite Gerard Butler in Gods Of Egypt.
Lynch, 19, rose to international fame playing Austin Moon in Disney TV series, Austin & Ally.
He's also appeared in Teen Beach Movie and Muppets Most Wanted.
She shot to fame playing Cheedo the Fragile in Mad Max:Fury Road and since then, Courtney Eaton has been based in Hollywood as she continues to build her career.
