Later that night after the guys went home, I felt Bella stir awake in my arms.
I looked over at her and asked "Ready for your next surprise, cutie!" I asked
She nodded sleepily.
I smiled and carried Bella out of the apartment.
"What's the surprise, Daddy?" Bella asked
I laughed.
"If I told you then it wouldn't be a surprise." I said as I kissed her on the cheek as I walked downstairs to the lobby where Sandra was downstairs waiting for us
She may have left the band but, she still our friend.
"Aunt Sandwa!" Bella called out in excitement as I put her down
Bella instantly ran over to hug our former drummer.
"Hey Bella! Happy birthday!" Sandra said as she gave her another birthday gift
I was hoping it wasn't another Mr. Potato Head like last year.
*flashback-Bella's first birthday* We were on tour at the time and after the show on the night of Bella's birthday, a cake was brought out so Bella could blow out her candle.
I helped her open her gifts and one of them was a Mr. Potato Head toy.
"Da-da!" Bella exclaimed as she played with the box
"Wait a minute Bella." I said as I wiped the cake off of her face
"Yeah. You have more gifts to open, sweetie!" Jake said as he put his gift in front of Bella
The next day at the airport was when all hell broke loose.
When we went through security, I packed Bella's Mr, Potato Head in a plastic bag and sent it through the scanner.
"Bye bye 'Tato head." My little girl said sadly
At first I thought that was cute but then, I heard alarms go off.
"What's going on, man?" Jinxx asked
"Oh shit! They found porn on my macbook!" Ashley panicked
"We'll be sure to write while you're sitting in Guantanamo Bay thinking about what you've done." Jake said sarcastically
"Shut the fuck up, Jake! I'm sure whatever it is, it's not that bad." I said
"Andy, you may want to eat your words." Sandra said
"Why?" I said
"Look." Sandra said
I looked up from trying to calm Bella down and looked over to see the security agents confiscating my little girl's toy.
I handed Bella over to Ashley as he tried to calm her down and went over to the security agents and asked "What's going on?"
"We have to take this because of the small parts." The security agent said
"WHAT?!" I asked
"Sir, it's just a safety measure." The security agent said
"Dude, just let it go!" Ashley said
"Yeah. She has other toys." Jinxx said
As they said this, I walked away frustrated.
*end flashback*
"Daddy! Look!" Bella exclaimed as she held up a doll
"Yes!" I thought
"Daddy? Are you okay?" Bella asked
I picked my little one up and said "I'm just fine, princess!"
