The next day, I woke up to Bella trying to climb in my bed.
I rolled over as my sleepy eyes met hers.
"Good morning Daddy!" Bella said
"Good morning baby!" I replied as I picked her up
"What are we going to do today?" Bella asked as she traced the Batman tattoo on my arm
"We're going to the studio today and later we can go to the park and play. But first, we're going to get some breakfast." I said as I got out of bed, put Bella down then, knelt down so she could get on my back for a piggyback ride
"Yay!" Bella shouted as we left the room and walked to the kitchen
Once we were in the kitchen, I put Bella in her booster seat and went to make us breakfast.
"May I have the princess bowl this time?" Bella asked
I looked around at my little girl.
"Sorry sweetie. It's being washed." I replied "Do you want your Hello Kitty bowl instead?"
Bella nodded happily.
Then, I took the bowl out of the cabinet and poured her favorite cereal.
Later after breakfast, I helped Bella get ready to go to the studio.
"Can I bring my doll to the studio?" Bella asked
I smiled.
"Yeah. And your coloring book too!" I said as I grabbed Bella's princess coloring book and a box of crayons
"Yay!" Bella cheered
"Sssssshhh!" I shushed "I know you're excited but our neighbor is still asleep."
"Okay Daddy. Boy! He sure sleeps a lot!" Bella said
I laughed at that.
"Well, he does work at night." I said
Bella giggled.
"That's silly. Shouldn't he be in bed?" She asked
"Yeah but, he is a grown-up." I replied as I grabbed her coat
"Like you Daddy!" Bella said as she pointed at me
I smiled.
I couldn't let her know that I was still a kid when she was born. So I let her think that I was "grown up".
After all I was going to be 20 soon.
