Chapter 4: What The Heck?!

Kyi

I was fuming with anger as I walked out of the room. When I knew she was calmer, I released Azul and said, “Sweetie, this has nothing to do with you. She's just some girl and she won't be here much longer.” Then I lightly kissed her on the cheek.

Azul scoffed and stepped back, “You like her, don't you?” She rolled her ruby red eyes and continued seriously, “If you let her get in the way of our plans, a lot of horrible things will happen Kyi. She better be out of here soon or your father will hear about this. I can't believe you are so stupid as to fall in love with a human. Kyi, have you learned nothing from your father?”

“She's not just any human girl, Azul. Emma is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and I fell in love with her at first sight. I will go through with marrying you and letting her leave, but I will always love her. What does it matter to you anyway?! Remember, we agreed to get married, but we don't really love each other. You don't love me and I don't love you.” Angrily, I walked away while Azul stood at the door for a moment, struck with amazement.

I continued down the hallway to another glass room that was ten times bigger than the one Emma was staying in. Half of it was a pool of sea water that had a glass railing that went up to my waist. Quickly, I went the water, and with my hands gripping the glass, looked angrily into the ocean that came up from under the castle. My dad and I use this to communicate with the occupants of the sea.

With a deep breath, I walked over to a square metal box that was adjacent to the pool, pushed the talk button, and spoke into the microphone, “I need the rescue team. Now.” Then I went back to the pool and continued to grip the glass side.

A group of sea blue colored fish with a yellow stripe down their back surfaced the water. All eight of them began to swim toward me.

Being a Prince of the Ocean came with certain abilities. Since I was just that, I had the ability to telepathically speak with the creatures of the sea.

“How is the girl alive? Why did no one tell me? If Dad had found her before I did... What happened?” I asked nervously and shaken with anger.

A fish separated it self from the group. It was obviously the leader, “We were attacked by a group of jellyfish. As we were coming up on shore, they came straight at us and we had to retreat the mission, sir. We tried to tell you, but when we asked the servant who carried the girl to her room, where you were, she said that you had locked yourself in your room and demanded no one bother you. So very sorry sire.”

I sighed, “I thought she was dead, that's why I locked myself in my room. For a moment, I had to leave the watch room. That's when the jellyfish must have have attacked. Dad was there and he believes she dead. We have to get her back before my father knows she's here. Get the team ready and we'll head out with her tonight.”

“I'm sorry sire, but the jellyfish are still heavily populating that area. None of us know when they will leave. We can't risk going through them; especially with a human.”

I sighed again angrily, “Well please tell me when they clear out while I figure out how I'm going to pull this off.”

The rescue team and I departed. My mind was racing. I thought about Emma and how she stood on the beach the first night I saw her. The moon light had glistened off her beautiful green eyes. Her wonderful and memorizing eyes...

Suddenly I thought of Dad's piercing blue eyes. His anger could snap at anytime for anything. If he ever found out about Emma, life would be over for us both. He knows that I love her, and he believes I would be stupid enough to give up the ocean for her. Honestly, I probably would.

As I walked down the hallway, my father stopped me, “Son, the mer-people are having problems setting up your wedding. Tomorrow I will head to Atlantis and help them out and it will take about a week. I need you to stay here and watch the bubble. Azul will stay with you.” Dad hesitated for a moment, “Son, I know you really loved that human girl, but Azul is just as beautiful. She will make a great wife for you Kyi. Take care of her.His large muscular arm patted me on the shoulder as he walked away.

Right then and there, I silently thanked the angels that I knew were watching over me. As I continued to Emma, I was stopped again by Azul.

“Kyi, I decided to help you to help the girl.”

 I stared at her quizzically.

“She's wearing a t-shirt, Kyi! That's not appropriate! She needs clothes, and that is something I can provide.”

“But she looks even sexier when she only wears a t-shirt.” I looked at her playfully and winked.

She hit me in the arm and sighed angrily,“That's exactly why I'm giving her some of my clothes, so you won't completely drool over her. Remember, you still have to marry me.” She stood on her tippy-toes and kissed me on the cheek. Then she took my arm in hers and we continued to my destination.

“So when will she be going home?” Azul asked with contempt as she laid her head on my shoulder .

“Well jelly fish are surrounding the beach that she came from. They attacked the rescue team when the tried to return Emma to land. That's why she's here now. The rescue team is to notify me immediately as soon as the jelly fish clear out. Then she will go home.”

Azul breathed angrily. Still arm in arm heading to the girl's room, Azul said, “If she ruins our wedding Kyi, I swear I'll kill you and then I'll kill her..”
