Snowing one shot
It was Christmas Eve, a bitterly-cold night. An ebony-haired woman was in the forest shivering. This man whom hardly knew who he was had found a partridge and he named it Frosty, because it's wings were frosty until he helped it.
He thought this woman; Mary Margaret Blanchard was beautiful and he liked her a lot. The thing is, he was married.
He liked to talk walks in the forest, to clear his mind especially near the toll bridge. He was cold, but not freezing like she was. There was this old frozen pear tree, odd and peculiar. How could a pear tree possibly grow in such harsh climate?
The wind was so crisp you practically hit it and it'd feel like a wall. She wasn't too deep in the forest, just staring at this tree. She was intrigued by it.
The man's name was David Nolan, he held the partridge with care, as if he knew how to take care of animals in another life. He walked through the forest holding Frosty dear so he could stay warm, trying to find a place to release him.
Then he spotted her, shivering violently next to a pear tree. A pear tree? Her face was as white as snow and her lips were paler than their usual blood red appearance. Her short hair still back as ebony. God, she is beautiful; he thought.
"Mary Margaret!" He shouted walking towards her with Frosty.
His voice startled her and she looked at him trying to hide her blush. "David, hi." She said shivering more.
"You're freezing...here take my jacket." He offered and pit it around her.
"Is that a-a partriiidge?" She stuttered from the cold."Yeah, I named him Frosty-"
"Ha, that name seems familiar for some reason." She looked into his deep blue eyes. If looks could kill, she'd be as dead as a doornail. He was so handsome and charming.
"I found him and I wanted to drop him off in a nice place, perhaps this tree." He said looking at the pear tree.
"It's so odd, how could such a beautiful tree even be alive in this cold weather."
"Maybe it's special." He said with his charming smile.
"Like what...magic?" She teased and they laughed.
"Want to hold him?" He asked offering Frosty.
"Sure, hi Frosty, aren't you cute." She looked at him and his feather patterns.
"Just like you." He said a little too loud.
"What?"
"I...um sorry." He scratched his head nervously.
"It's okay." She said and blushed, turning away to face the tree. "Maybe he likes pears, you think?"
"Well let's see." She released Frosty on the pear tree, he flew into it grabbing on a branch and tweeting and singing a bird song.
"He's beautiful." She realized what she said and thought David might say "like you?".
"Just like you." He said and smirked at her. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
She came up to him and looked him in the eyes. She leaned in and soon he leaned in to. They kissed, it felt so wrong, but so right. Then Frosty started tweeting a lot.
"We-we can't do this." She said.
"How about just one more time, it'll warm us up." He said getting closer.
Then she lost her control and kissed him until there was no oxygen. They kissed under that partridge in a pear tree.
