Day 11: Pipin' Good Time

New York 2001

It was fall time in New York. Emma was with Neal Cassidy. She was 18, very young and pregnant. They were in love, both thieves. She was about 8 months along.

They were on the couch watching a movie called The Pipers of Gorgroc (not real btw). It was about a group of poor pipers that would go around their village and cheer the kingdom up, but King Evan didn't like them and try to have them executed. Pipers were people who made pipes (an instrument) out of wood and tree sap to make music.

There were four pipes on the instrument at different lengths for different sound. The tree sap was used as an adhesive. It was Neal's favorite movie. Emma was watching it for the first time. It was an older movie from 1971.

"I can't believe I'm pregnant." She said. "I can't be a mother."

   "You'll be fine."  He assured and kissed her temple.  "Oh look it's back on." 

   "I want their heads, no one should bring those horrid sounds into my kingdom."  Said King Evan.

   *the pipers were brought before the royals.

   *they were on their knees

   "Off with their heads!"  The King ordered. 

   *village in tears.

   *soldiers take swords and place them near the pipers heads

   *crowd of armed men and women with spears charge into scene.

  *the King raises from throne and is yelling.

  "I love this part!"  Neal cheered. 

   "You're such a dork."  Emma said.

   *the mob charges at soldiers and fights them. 

   *all soldiers die and some of the mob is dead and hurt. 

   "Stop!  You shall all be killed!"  The King yelled and ran at the mob.

   *the mob tripped him.  He was overthrown. 

   *mob takes crown from Evan and gives to leader of the pipers; David. 

   *Rae; David's girlfriend places crown on his head.  He is King.

   *movies ends.

   *credits

   "That was a pretty good movie."  Emma said.

  "You'll have to show it to the little one."  He said placing a hand on her stomach.  She smiled and leaned in, kissing him.

   "Oh! I actually stole a replica from the  movie."  He said grabbing the pipe. 

  It was etched David of Gorgroc.  "Play it."

   He played and he wasn't good,  it sounded like a dying swan. 

   "Okay, okay that's enough, sound like something is dying."

   He chuckled and smiled.  Boy he had a cute smile.
