I woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock, I turned on my side and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I almost peed my pants when I realized that it was 9:30 am and I was late for school.

I'm going to be late! I'm going to be late! I frantically yelled as I threw my cloths on, not bothering with my hair.(which I usually spend hours on) I quickly called my best friend Alex (Alexandra) and screamed into the phone "tell our home room teacher, that I'm going to be late. I accidentally slept over." "What are you talking about?" Alex asked "school finished last week!" "Oh" I said embarrassed " do you want to come over?" I weekly finished "Sure, I'll be over on 5" Alex replied. I closed my phone, man I need to get an iPhone I thought to my self. My thoughts were interrupted by my twin 12 year old little sisters, calling me that breakfast was ready. I flew down the stairs, litter ally, I may be a mermaid but, every mermaid has a power, like mine is flying, Pearl and Coral's are singing, and my mom's is decorating,my dad's is animal communication. When I arrived down stairs I smelled the delicious vegetarian breakfast, which my dad cooked today, remember how I said he could communicate with animals, turns out they don't like being eaten. I heard the door bell ring and Coral and Pearl ran to answer it. Alex stepped in with her bedazzled outfit, like my mom she was a decorator, Alex's mom is a flyer like me and her dad is an animal communicator. We say down to the big breakfast. When we finished Alex and I stood up to leave and go to my room, but before I could go my dad made an announcement declaring that we were moving from sunny Florida to Maryland. At first I was excited then I realized I would be leaving Alex... Everything turned black.
