Story 2: You Are My Sunshine

『 i wrote this in class today in under thirty minutes so i apologize for any errors (that i'm way too lazy to fix) and for how bad it's written. i actually don't know how to write stories where shit happens like what you're going to read so yes, it won't be that good... also this story is a little sad– it almost made my friend cry so, yeah, feels warning i guess... —zacharie 』

"Leon!" Emil screamed as he saw his boyfriend, Leon (of course), fall to the ground. Blood was coming out of Leon's chest, and it was ruining Leon's white shirt. Emil ran over, his purple-colored eyes filled with worry. He sat down on his knees next to Leon and took off his shirt, placing it on the wound. "Babe, you don't have to do that, I won't be dead for long, y'kn—" Leon was cut off as he started to cough up blood. Emil moved Leon's head so it was in his lap; Leon looked up at him and smiled as if he was okay, as if he wasn't going through much pain right now.

"You won't be d-dead for long, I–I know, but... you aren't r-really a country... So wouldn't it— wouldn't it take longer for you to come back...?" Emil asked, sadness showing in his voice. "Yes, it would–" Leon coughed blood again, "But I will come back." Emil felt a little less sad at that, "Good." He whispered. Leon reached up and put his hand on the side of Emil's face, then he moved so he was sitting in Emil's lap.

Then, Leon gently kissed him. It wasn't a kiss that was normal, it was a goodbye kiss. Emil started to silently cry as he kissed back, but they didn't start a make-out session. It wasn't the mood or time, if you couldn't tell. Leon then lay his head in the crook of Emil's neck.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine," Emil softly sang to Leon, "You make me happy when skies are gray... You'll never know dear, how much I love you,
So please don't take my sunshine away..."

Emil looked down at Leon and realized that Leon has stopped breathing, but Leon wore a smile. "I-I love you." Emil whispered, voice cracking.
