ARES POV

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!"

It stood eight feet tall; the size of an average car, and looking pretty hungry at the woman cowering with fear. The air was crisp with small snowflakes falling in Colorado. Street lights were lowly dimmed in the night and the women begged for anyone to help while cornered in the back alley as the demon crept to her like a stalking lion.

I watched this, looking down on them as I was perched on the rooftop. This lady didn't have a chance and there was no one to save her.

I had no intentions of playing the hero. I mean, why bother? My only job was to kill demons, and that's it, so really it wasn't my problem. Besides, I knew if I waited long enough, it would be easier for the kill.

Her screams became helpless once the demon drew in closer. The woman's back pressed up against the brick wall, her head turning left and right for anyone to come to her aid. The demon inched closer and lowered itself into a crouch. With no hesitation, it lifted its enormous shadowing feet and strikes quickly. Fangs bearing and ripping her flesh until the women's last screams stopped, with only the sound of her body being devoured.

I let the demon continue to eat, then decided to jump down from the three story building, landing into the snowy ground. The demon's head snapped quickly in my direction, fangs dripping with the woman's blood, and it's red eyes beaming with rage.

It looked like an excessively large primate with gangly proportions, dark gray skin, and black fur. A deep scar ran down the center of its face, and it's nose is completely gone, with only a large, open nasal cavity.

I sighed deeply; ready to get this over with."So, are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?" I asked.

Like any other demon, this one lacked intelligence, only knowing its true dominate instinct and that was to kill. It's breathing was deep and uneven, its animal like body goes into a defensive stance ready to fight.

My lips curved up into a smirk. Guess we're going with the hard way.

It growled and snapped its large teeth and I saw that it began to charge quickly on all fours. As it got closer,it swung its large arm back around with its elongated claws; attempting to slice my face.

I ducked quickly, then grabbed onto it's arm and tossing the demon straight into the building in one swift motion like a rag doll. It went flying causing a huge gaping hole in the wall. The demon let out a pained snarl by the impact and went back on its feet, preparing to charge.

This demon has no idea what it's up against.

This time I moved first: I ran straight towards the demon as I went in for the kill. The demon came at me as well, swinging its large arms, and aiming for my head. Every attempted move I dodged and once I was close enough, I summoned my scythe and it appeared in a rush of black flames.
With no hesitation, I swung the blade into the demon's skin, slicing it completely open. It went flying far backwards with a thud.

This was way too easy.

The demon painfully whimpers from my cut going in so deep.

If using the correct technique, I was able to attack with only one move and stun a demon instantly for a good period of time. Not necessarily kill it, but if the demon is weak enough then it could.

I strode up to its laying form on the ground as I'm dragging my scythe from my side. I looked down at the pathetic thing, while it clutched onto its bleeding chest from the blow. It barked and snapped at me, but was completely helpless since its body couldn't move.
