Previously: I knew he was pissed for his lack of words so I handed him his shirt and jacket. Trent didn't bother to say goodnight or bye when he took his things. All he did was give me a look that said "Whatever you bitch, thanks for running what could've been a perfect night" and then he was gone. I watched him go out the front door and I slowly closed mine.
If only he knew.

I stepped back away from the door and slowly turned myself around, not really wanting to face my doom. I was really unsure if I was going to survive out of this and didn't know what to make of it.
And now that I was fully facing my room, I didn't see the guy anywhere. I cautiously looked around from both sides, walking in more and to still see nothing.
"I take it that it's common for humans to use that excuse?"
The husky voice came from behind me, and I spun around so quick that I almost lose my balance. I further myself away, backing into the drawer, and with my eyes never leaving the man standing in the middle of my room. Who is this guy? And why did he say human like he was some type of alien?Who knows, maybe he was.
The man tilted his head to the side at me so promptly that it almost looked inhuman.
Silence fell in the room briefly, until I swallowed the lump in my throat to allow myself to speak."Are you going to kill me?"
Chuckling, a devilish smirk stretched on his lips. "Only if you give me a reason to."
That was settling.
The man continued. "I came here to find you specifically for some answers."
"Answers?" I questioned the man.
What kind of answers was this guy looking for? If anybody wanted answers it should be me. I was the one that needed clarity here. Not him. That's when I became bold, forcing myself to not even stutter when I prepared myself to face him. I mean, might as well since there is a chance I could die.
"If answers are what you're looking for" I started a little shaky," then you came to the wrong person. But if anybody needs some answering it should be me. Who are you? And how did you find me? And most importantly, what are you?"
To my surprise, he seemed extremely calm and his face hard to read. The man walked forward, but taking his time in a slow timeless pace. Nervously I inched more into the drawer, my hand searching for my hair scissors as a weapon. I tried to hide my hand behind my back to avoid being noticed.
"Don't bother." he murmured, his ice eyes darkening. "I told you, I'll kill if you give me a reason to."
My blood turned cold by the realization that he knew what I was doing. I was completely helpless and defenseless by this man and at any given time he could kill me. I knew he was dangerous, but I was confused on what his intentions were for me.
"Most humans that I'd run into wouldn't dare demand anything from me." The man said with a hint of edginess to his tone, coming closer to me, it caused me to feel smaller than life, even though there was still quite a bit of distance left between us."Though I'll admit, I'm surprised by your boldness so I'll answer your question as you will do the same for me." he bluntly stated, and surprisingly, it almost scares me by the way he spoke to me with such authority.
"My name is Ares Vayne. As far as you need to know as to what I am, I am a demon hunter for the time being. And how I found you was this," he pulled out something from his pocket, looking down in his hand was the tiny prescription bottle that I had dropped at the party three days ago.
