Chapter 2: Lucius Metrali

*Evania's POV*

Ding dong

"Hey Evania! I didn't know you were coming today," Lucius said.

"Yeah sorry I didn't get to text you about it. To be honest, I don't know if I can anym- Hey let's talk inside"

"Right. Sorry. I'll get us something to eat in a couple of minutes. What were you saying?"

"Kay um I don't think we should text each other anymore because the government keeps track of all our texts and June told me her dad heard they were getting suspicious of us being a thing."

"Wait I thought June's dad doesn't work for the government anymore"

"He doesn't. He went to talk to the government about his previous job again and gave them all the information he knew from when he worked and his uniform and everyhing. He overheard people in a room though. He recorded it actually. Here.."

'You know that kid that texts a lot? We looked into her texts and she texts a guy named Lucius all the time. We looked at a couple of their texts and it looks like they could be together. Should we give them a warning?'

'Let's wait a little and see their future texts. If anything else is suspicious we can send a report to Hartnell'

'Wait who's by the door?'

'I have no idea. Is anyone even at the door?'

'I hear someone breathing behind the door. Let's go see who it is. I swear if it's a sp-'

THUMP THUMP THUMP....

"That's the recording. June's dad nearly got killed recording them because everything in the government building is top secret and he almost got caught recording them. I don't know.. June's dad is like my own dad so I guess he wanted to protect us."

"You know what? Don't text me or call me or ever talk to me again unless it's face to face in a private place like my house or your house. If they say they're going to keep watching us, don't text me at all and just text all of your girl friends and they won't care anymore."

"Yeah I guess that's the only choice.. So Louie how far are we on our plan?"

He grabbed my hand and we ran up the stairs to his room. We literally slammed our butts into the floor and Lucius looked like he was kissing the floor but he had to unlock a secret room under the floor (and technically under the house) with the key on his necklace. A 16 number code came up and we typed in the secret code. It was both of our birthday months, days, and the years. The floor opened up and Lucius went in first to make sure we were all safe. He gave me a green light signal up the slide so I lied down at the top of the slide with my hands straight down next to my legs and I slid down the loops and crazy turns in our slide.

I looked around the room that Louie and I built togetherfor 3 months, a year and a half ago. We had so many memories in this. It was where we kept all of our secret plans safe and where we got to keep track of the government and other top secret things. We knew where our soulmates lived but we didn't know who it was. To be honest, we never even cared to look yet. Lucius loved technology and we had really high tech gadgets when we built this room so he put in some pretty neat stuff that the government couldn't track down or find.

Lucius hugged me from behind and whispered in my ear, "It's been a long time since you've been here, hasn't it?"

"Yeah.. It's gotten a lot bigger and there's more stuff in here. Did you do this by yourself?"

"Well technically I didn't do it"

"What?? Then who did? No ones supposed to know about this place except you and me!"

"Ugh. Relax Evania. It wasn't me, it was the high tech gadgets and robots that I built"

I mean this whole room was pretty impressive. The last time I had been here it was basically a plain room with a lot of cool stuff. Now, it had black lights, glow in the dark things, even more gadgets, and a lot more that I can't say because there are too many things.

Louie walked over to the table in the middle so I decided to follow him there. Afterall, the government was watching us like a hawk. He pulled out a hologram of the plan we've created even before the secret room was built. We were almost done with it. The plan was this: We would take the necklace off with a high tech robot Lucius made and we would put the necklace on a bird and make it fly away to Smith. We were going to send it to Barrowman but after finding out that Barrowman was where both of our soulmates were, we decided it was too risky and sent it to another island who was leniant with the laws. After doing that, we would take out the copied shape of the necklace and wear that until we got to an island that we knew about that the government didn't know about. We wrote something about soulmates and that was it..

 I looked over at Lucius to say something but all I saw was  the fan in the room blowing at him. His black hair was pushed back by the wind and when hair fell into his eyes he pushed it away with his hand. Then he looked over at me and I made contact with his blue eyes and we stared at each other for a while. Since we were born I remembered we were always best friends up until two years ago when we secretly dated. He was always perfect in my eyes.. Lucius blinked and it all came back to me. It wasn't time to think about the past and our relationship. We needed to complete everything we plotted today and then we had to actually do it. 

"Yeah so um let's finish this up, shall we?" I asked.

"Haha yes we shall," Louie laughed.

We shall." Barrowman is for Captain Jack haha. See? I'm putting Doctor Who things and other things into this story. Yeah so I'm sorry this was posted a day later than I promised.. The next chapter won't be up until Sunday because I haven't started it at all. I just finished this up today (6/28) so chapter 3 will be up on Sunday or maybe even Monday but I'll try to get it in by Sunday (6/30).

Also, on Sunday (6/30), I'm going to be starting a new book. All I'm going to say about it is.. It has to be updated every single day in the summer until school starts. It's going to have a lot of parts I guess but it'll be really short.. So I hope you guys liked this chapter. Tell me what you thought of it in the comments below!
