~ Present Day ~
back down to the landing off near the cave where me & Val stay, jumping off Snow I walked in to see Val making something for lunch. She saw me too but didn't look up at me.
"So how was your flight my dear?" she said with a light Scottish accent
'It was good. The sunrise is always amazing up there. I will never get tired of it." i smiled taking a fish she hadn't touched yet & tossed it to snow who smiled as she ate it.
"What i have told you about doing that." Val tested me well i rolled my eyes.
'We've been out all morning Val, i could hear her stomach begging for food." i say as dramatically as i could. I see her smirk a little at me.
"Anyway how did your research go on the Scauldrons."
"If by research you mean " I pull out the pages on out that i had added to & handed them to her. "Then good" i say as she smiled at my work before walking over & placing it on the small book shelf with all our other 'books' on it. "How ever i did see a handful of Nadders heading away from the Red Death nest. If they are heading for a raid, i was wondering if i could go to get some supplies." I added
She looked at me with a little sparkle in her eyes. She knew i just wanted to protect the dragons from the vikings. But today there was something different in her eyes.
"well you can go." i smiled. "But." i frowned. "i need you to keep an eye out for the night fury from that nest. I heard some of the dragons mention it."My eyes widened when she mentioned a night fury, i could also see Snow was now listen intently to our conversation on that mention.
"I thought Midnight was one of the last night fury's. Sorry, correction, was the last one." I said to Val, who went back to whatever she was cooking.
"I thought so too, but apparently not." She smiled back at me "Aren't you going on a dragon raid" she laughed as i started scrambling to get my stuff for the raid. Daggers, check.
Bag, check.
Quick snack, check.
Mask, check. Yes i have a mask so people can't see who i am as well as it protects my face from the wind. After about 10 minutes i came out of the cave to see Cloudjumper & Snow eating well Val overlooked the nest from the landing. I came over tapping her on the shoulder causing her to turn to me with a smile before hugging me. I whistled & Snow was beside me in an instant.
Smiling at Snow i climbed on her back & waved to Val & Cloudjumper as we took off. Calling to the Bewilderbeast a quick bye because he looks after us all. Before we flew out, i smiled as the wind whipped at my face, messing up my braid. Not that i cared.
As we started flying over the ocean i could hear the world song even clearer than before as it gave the flying a nice sound with it's beat. Standing on top of Snows back with near perfect balance, i quickly tapped my foot before doing a back flip off her. I free fell until i quickly straightened out, just before i hit the water Snow grabbed my foot, pulling me up & letting go. This caused me to fly upward with a spin, all i did was laugh as i got ready to land. Snow timed in perfectly for me to land back on her in a crouch (think of a Tarzan crouch).
Still laughing i stood back up as smiling like an idiot. I could see snow smiling as well as she let a plasma blast out on to the air. I laid back down on her back just as it came up to me. I smiled at Snow. "Little warning next time girl." i said as i could feel her laugh a little, because dragons can laugh it just sounds like a snicker.
"Alright. Sonic speed girl" i said & she flew fast so fast i couldn't see the scenery. We stayed going like this until we arrived at Berk just as the sun set & decided to rest.
