------------------------------------------------------------

I walk on the road and go through the gate that signifies I'm in Battery City. I must've took a back road, because I don't remember going through Zones...

Cars zoom by. I try to dodge them, and get across the busy street to a sidewalk. Street lights illuminate my path into Downtown. There are few people on this sidewalk, but many more near the stores and businesses. They all ram into me. They curse under their breath at me. Others just stare at me.

I pull out my mask and pull it over my eyes. It's better to be hidden. I need clothes. If I'm gone, I'll need a new disguise. I walk into a store that sells a lot of different clothes. It's so cool in here, temperature wise. California has been in a heat wave for many years now. And this temperature is perfect.

I walk to a clothing rack and pick out a pair of grey skinny jeans and a blue tank top with black designs forming a lightning bolt. Just my type. I pay for my things and go outside. Again, I get weird looks. I run across the street to a conveniant store and walk into a bathroom. I quickly change and put my clothes in the shopping bag. I walk back outside.

"I need a hair salon..." I say to myself.

I walk down the street and find one. It's locked, so I grab my gun and shoot the doornob. It opens and I walk in. I grab a bottle of black hair dye and scissors. I dye my hair, and cut it a inch past my shoulders. My waist length hair is now on the floor.

I dry my hair and leave. Now no one can reconize me, really. Just if they take off my mask. I pull out my cell phone and look at my notifications. 8 messages. 2 from everyone except Mikey and Grace.

Where are you? - Kaylina

Why did you leave? - Ray

Come on. Answer me. - Kaylina

I'm sorry. Please come home. - Party Poison

Hellooo? Anyone there? - Ray

Leaving doesn't solve anything. - Frank

Don't die on me. Come back. - Party Poison

I know you're in Battery City. I'll be there in 5. - Frank

The last message was sent 3 minutes ago. I look around at the cars and everyone. I take off my mask, shove it in my bag, and run into a nearby place.

I realize it's a club. Perfect. I sigh and walk over the bar and sit down on a stool.

"What would you like?" Asks the bartender. He's about 23 with Blonde hair and a star tattoo under his right eye. He's drying a cup.

"Just get me a beer." I say not looking at him.

"Coming right up!"

He walks to the other end of the bar and gets a beer from a fridge. He gives it to me and walks away. I pop open my beer and take a swig. I might be 2 years underage, but I need it. A vibration comes from my pocket. I pull out my phone and it's a call. Frank.

I answer and put the phone to my ear. "Hey."

"Where the hell are you? We're worried sick about you!" Frank explodes.

"I'm in Battery City. Duh."

"Where. I'm driving around and I can't find you."

"That's exactly how I want it to be."
