Thomas woke up the next morning feeling rested and ready to go. He got up and quickly threw on a pair of jeans and his old leather jacket that had "daft punk" stitched across the back. After he was done dressing, he strolled over to his night stand and picked up his cell phone and dialed Guy's number. "Thomas? Hey! how did it go last night? You get anything new done?" He heard his brother say. Thomas sighed. "No. I'm still just kind of stuck right now, but I did a lot of thinking. Do you remember Dr. Roger Lupé?" Guy thought for a minute. That name sounded familiar. "Yeah.. Yeah I remember him. He gave us a place to stay after..Well you know." Guy suddenly had a somber, quiet tone. "Yeah that's him. I was kind of thinking we could check up on him. you know, just for old time's sake. We haven't seen him in a long time." Thomas asked shyly. He wasn't sure how Guy would feel. Guy hesitated for a minute before replying. "Yeah. Yeah I think that'd be okay. Why don't you come over to my place? I am out right now, but I will back in just a minute. We could look him up on the computer, and see if he has a phone number or an address." This excited Thomas. "Alright! I will be over soon then." Thomas put the phone down. He suddenly felt anxious. He trotted down the stairs to the place where his car was parked, and set out for Guy's house. He knew the way well, because he often went there to write, or even just to hang out and relax. Thomas loved spending time with his brother. He felt more like himself there than anywhere else.

Thomas pulled into the driveway of his brother's house. It was out on the outskirts of town, un-like Thomas's inner city apartment. He knocked on the door and waited for a bit. Guy opened the door and greeted him with a hug. He offered Thomas a seat in the living room, and the two sat down. "So, what's with the sudden interest in Lupé?" Guy asked. He could tell from the phone conversation that something was troubling Thomas.

"Well.. I had another flashback last night. It was worse than usual. I remembered everything, down to the last detail.."

Guy sighed. He knew Thomas had reoccurring flashbacks, but they were usually in tiny bits and pieces. He was worried that they were stressing him out a little too much, which was why he was always willing to talk about them if Thomas wanted to. "Really? What did you see this time?"

Thomas expained all that he had seen the night before. Guy thought about Giovanni and the other planet. Sure, he wanted to know what happened, but he didn't want the burden to be put upon his brother's shoulders. He tried to keep the conversation casual and calm.

"I see. I'm sorry about all this Thomas.. I wish there was a way I could help you figure out why you keep having these flashbacks.. But we both know Giovanni is gone, and the rocket is still not able to be fixed." He patted Thomas' s shoulder. Thomas pleaded. "But the recording is still here somewhere. I know it is. That is why I need to find Lupé. Maybe if I find out what it was that Giovanni wanted to tell us, I can stop having flashbacks, or at least make them make sense." Guy nodded reluctantly. He didn't want to get involved with anything that happened in the past. His main job was to protect his brother, and letting him get into danger was not the way to do that. Guy showed Thomas to the computer, and he sat down and began to search right away. It didn't take him long at all; apparently Lupé had moved up in the world in the last 10 years, and was now a respected scientist with his own government funded projects and inventions. Thomas found a number for his research facility and called it. A woman picked up and said he was very busy at the moment. "Tell him it's Thomas Bangalter, and that He would like to get in touch." He said. The woman promised to call him back as soon as the doctor was free. Thomas thanked her and put down the phone. "Any luck?" Guy asked. Thomas shrugged and flopped back down on the couch. "apparently now he is pretty hard to reach." Guy felt a little relieved on the inside, but still sorry for his brother. "It's alright. I bet he doesn't remember us anyway. That was a really long time ago." Thomas nodded. "Hey, you want to go out and have a little fun some time? We could put on our own free performance and see how everybody likes that new song we came up with! What was it called again? 'give life back to music'?" Guy suggested. Thomas laughed. "Wouldn't our agents have a cow? They hate it when we do things without telling them." Guy scoffed. "Who cares what our agents think? They are only in it for the money anyway. Come on. Please? It will be fun!" Thomas thought for a minute. "Yeah, okay, fine. But only if you promise to go to the arcade with me afterwards." He laughed a bit. Guy felt much better. This was the Thomas he knew. The happy fun-loving brother that had been by his side for as long as he could remember. "That's the spirit! How about tomorrow night in the park? I will spread the word." Thomas nodded and leaned back on the couch. Performing was fun. It made him happy to see the smiles of joy and fun on the faces of all the fans, and he loved sharing the stage with his brother.

They decided to rehearse the song a bit that night before the show the next day. At first, Thomas was a bit shaky, but after a few times, he began to have confidence and poured all of his feelings and emotions and thoughts into the song. It sounded perfect, and the lyrics were inspiring. Give life back to music. It sounded like a great place to start with this new album.

Thomas and Guy met at the park the next day an hour early to set up the equipment necessary for the show. After they were done, Thomas picked up his guitar and did a quick sound check to warm up before the performance by playing a few small riffs and songs. He felt excited to play now, and it reminded him of how good it felt to perform. Right on time, people began to show up left and right until the park was full with cheering fans.

The duo played many songs, including the newest piece which was instantly a hit with the crowd, before retiring for the night. After most of the people had left, Thomas and Guy began to pack up, when they heard an odd sound. Thomas looked up into the sky to see a small black and silver chopper descending onto the ground near them. Thomas and Guy stared at the chopper, and watched as a dark-haired man, who looked to be in his late forties stepped out and approached them. Thomas turned to Guy "Is that...?" He asked quietly. The man walked closer until he stood in front of the two. He smiled a tired and familiar smile and adjusted his glasses. "Look at you two, All grown up and making your way in the world. It's been too long. I heard from the attendant that you had called and I came as soon as I could. It's wonderful to see you again!" Thomas practically radiated happiness. "Dr. Lupé! I had given up hope on seeing you ever again! It really has been too long! I saw that you have your own company now!" Guy was quiet. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about the whole thing. He was glad to see the doctor again, and he was glad to see Thomas this excited, but he thought it might be better not to go digging up their past. He decided to just play along and rejoice in the moment. "Oh how I would love to catch up with the both of you! This, however, is not the place to do that. How about you come take the grand tour of my new laboratory?" Thomas was dismayed. "Oh, you moved? what happened to your old underground lab?" The doctor thought for a moment. "Well I believe it's still there, although it's not in use anymore. I took all of my things and equipment and moved them elsewhere. Why do you ask?" Thomas crossed his arms and spoke in a hushed tone. "Well, there was something Guy and I brought from our home planet, and I forgot that it even existed until a few nights ago, and I wanted to check our old room to see if it was still there." The doctor furrowed his brow. "I see. Well, I don't recall seeing anything unusual when the movers took the furniture out, but we can definitely go take a look if that's what you'd like. Speaking of things from your home planet, I still have that rocket from the day you arrived. Of course, seeing as you two have grown so much, I don't think you would have much use for it since the cabin is much too small for either of you." He chuckled a bit. Thomas nodded. "If it's alright with you, I would really like to go back." The doctor motioned toward the helicopter sitting in field. "Well then, let us be off." He said.
