First day of school is exciting for everyone.But first day in a new school is a bit difficult. We've to create our reputation cuz first impression is the last impression. First half of the school year was over and Annabeth had joined the school this year itself. Annabeth's image in the school was of a studious girl who was very sincere and perfect in her work.She had topped in the exams. Annabeth didn't even talk to anyone much. As you can see now, Annabeth wasn't famous in the school. Even though the she was drop dead gorgeous, nobody dared to ask her out! Last time when a guy tried to impress her, he ended up with punched face.
Percy on the other hand was always surrounded by girls. His friend circle ,too ,was huge. Studying wasn't his business. He was into sports. Being the most good looking guy , almost each and every girl in class liked him,except Annabeth.
He'd been in the school for 2 years. When he first saw her,his heart began to thud. He couldn't help it.Even after seeing her everyday, don't know why he suddenly gets lost. Sometimes he would smile at her but all she would do was scrutinize him for some seconds and look away again.
Months passed like this.
2 weeks before, it was announced in school that there was gonna be a ball dance in the school a day before the Christmas vacations began. As a result there was excitement everywhere.
Percy received requests from many girls,for him being their partner.
Annabeth finally confessed to herself that she liked Percy.(Not only his looks, but him as a person. She didn't smile back at him cuz she thought that he was just joking or something) But she was sure that he wouldn't agree to dance with her. After all he was famous in class and the girls would swarm him every day after the school ended (and in free time too) to ask him to be their partner. The girl named Drew would probably be the lucky one to accompany him for the dance. She was quite okay looking and the queen of the class too.
Annabeth and Percy both liked each other but misunderstood each other's feeling.
