#2: The Best Night Ever...[2]

{Annabeth's P.O.V}

          The next day I finally decided to ask  Percy. I practiced it in front of the mirror. I was nervous but I was ready.
       I chose a blue top (his fave color!) and a dark black jeans.

After reaching school.

       As I was making my way through the crowd of girls around Percy I thought it was a bad idea to ask him. He would just think of it as a bad joke or something. But then why wasn't he choosing any girl?( What if he want you?) A small voice replied which I ignored.

At lunch break in the cafeteria.

I sat with piper my only friend who was going with Jason, Percy's friend. She told me that Percy liked me (known by Jason)
But I thought it as a prank or something.

I was thinking about it before something caught the whole cafeteria. The girl named Drew was obtruding Percy to be her partner.

"I've already told you I'm going with someone else"
At this line our eyes met and I got the message.

Before I knew what I was doing I started walking towards them.
I thrust my hand on her shoulder and turned her to face me.

I gathered all my courage and said, "He's going with me. Any problem? So now just turn around and forget about him."
My sentence resulted in a lot of
"Ohhhhhh-s" by the people.
Drew was completely embarrassed by this and stormed out without another word.

I stood there stunned at what I had done and saw the faces of many disappointed girls and boys. Boys? I never thought any boy would ever like me.

The bell rang and soon the cafeteria was empty except for me and Percy who was watching me wide-eyed. I don't know how many minutes passed before Percy broke the silence by saying,
"I never thought that you would come with me. You know many boys were crazy after you and so was I and thought that I had no chance"

"Oh yes so many girls liked you.
Wait what!"
I finally understood what he said a few seconds ago which left me stunned.

"Boys, crazy after me. Me?"

"You're good looking. Plus you never replied my smiles. But its not the looks that attracted me. Its your bold and shy nature. Remember when you punched that guy?" His smile was the best one within the whole world with his sea-green colored eyes and dark black hair.

"I thought that you were popular and wouldn't like to go with me. And I like you not only your awesome smile and looks"
At this point I couldn't help smiling and blushing insanely.

"All set then. You're coming with me tomorrow." He said before whispering in my ear that he loved the top and winking at me.

From now on all that mattered to me was tomorrow's dance. Not even studies!
