Chapter One- The Boy with Green Eyes

Even though he was gone i could still feel him here. The remembrance of his touch sent chills up my spine like winter without a coat. I remember every little thing. I Remember how his fingers fit perfectly between mine, how he placed his hands around my waist, how his voice sounded when he called me at two in the morning because he knew i was awake, and i even remember his amazing green eyes with the golden brown rim around the outside of the green. the story now still feels like a dream to me like it wasn't real to begin with, that my mind made up something so unreal. Until i woke up.

I met him the day the first flower of spring bloomed. I was going to meet my best friend at the mall. There he was in the parking lot with my best friend and her boyfriend of 9 months. I knew what was happening. My Best Friend had invited me to a set up date. I wish she would've told me so i didn't show up in ripped skinny jeans, converse,a beanie and a pierce the veil shirt.I approached them with my skateboard clutched in my hand. My grip on my board got tighter and tighter as i got closer to them.

When i finally got to the group they where starring at me like i was from another planet. My best friend pulled me to the side "WHAT ARE YOU WEARING!?!" she screamed at me as i turned pale "I TOLD YOU TO LOOK NICE" i starred at her with a very confused look "what do you mean you told me to look nice?" i said to her with one eyebrow raised as she had a tight grip on both of my arms looking me dead in the face. "i was texting you ten mins ago...to look nice for your date" i quickly reached into my back pocket and pulled out my phone, going directly to messages only to find a new message from her. It said "sorry for short notice but my boyfriend is going with us and he brought a date for you so wear something cute". Obviously my everyday look wasnt good enough to impress anyone. i apologized as she gave me a smart look saying "too late now" and she skipped into her boyfriends arms. i nervously put my hand in my back pocket and grabbed my neck.

He walked up to me. He Looked Nervous. He was looking at the ground with his hand in his front pocket. As he was starring at his toes trying his hardest no to look at me. Next thing i knew he started to smile and i found my feet glued to the floor. He looked directly into my eyes. Never will i forget the color. The Green In his eyes shimmered as a wave of golden brown flowed over the rim of his eyes into the green.Suddenly his pupils started to grow. it was if he was peering into my soul. he opened his mouth "Hi...I'm Uhh.." he paused scratching the back of his head as if he was so nervous he had forgotten his own name "I'm..." Will my Best Friends Boyfriend interrupted him finishing his sentence "Zac his name is Zac". "yeah yeah Zac my name is Zac" he mumbled putting his other hand into his pocket. i laughed to myself "Hi my name is Rose" By Then Eve My Best Friend grew impatient of sitting in a parking lot and dragged us inside.

Eve and Will had already bought everyone tickets to see Mime Massacre. Knowing Eve she bought them ahead of time so i didn't get a say. She knows i like scary movies so she picked one she knew i would be scared of. "mimes out of all things why mimes" i mumbled to myself in complete and utter fear. Zac stared at me confused "your scared of mimes aren't you". "no.. I'm not scared of mimes". he walked over to me and grabbed my hands "yes you are you are shaking and you where just mumbling to yourself, you don't have to lie its okay " he said to me as i starred at his hands. "okay I'm scarred of mimes, Eve did it on purpose". "hey look I'm going to get us out of this movie okay just go along with it". when the movie started he stood up and said "hey me and rose are going to get some more candy" and he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the theatre. "see i told you id get us out" he said and a smirk came across his face. "Thanks you didn't have to do that i just would've ended up leaving and having an anxiety attack in the bathroom" i said sounding like a nervous wreck. "I did it so that didn't happen"

"What do you mean? You know i have anxiety" he grabbed my hand and pulled me close as we started to wander through the mall. "Yeah even tho i don't know who you are i know that you have anxiety and you cut your wrists" he said with a sort of upset tone "how do you know this?" he took off his hoodie to reveal a Black Veil Brides tank top and a wrist full of bracelets grabbing a beanie out of his pocket and putting it on his head. "you see a hoodie can hide a lot of stuff" " i starred at him with a smile on my face. he pushed his bracelets up "so i kind of know these things" pushing um my bracelets to show that we both had scars. "i meant to ask you about that hoodie i wasn't sure if you really liked Lil Wayne" "its not my hoodie Will made me put it on so you didn't notice. i think hes embarrassed of me cause he said "shes a pretty girl you cant look like a band freak all the time"" he said to me as i was starring at him "Eve did the same to me too.. she said i had to change to impress you" he looked me in the eyes "you don't have to change to impress me, i think you beautiful"

Zac's phone started to play Bulls in The Bronx and he pulled it out of his pocket handing it to me saying "is for you". i hesitated grabbing his phone and looking at the screen. It was Eve. i quickly answered it "I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WHERE GETTING CANDY?!!?!" she screamed at me over the phone. Scared i just stood not able to say a word. Zac took the phone out of my hand and put it to his ear "you picked a mime movie.." he said with an angry tone to his voice "yeah whats wrong with that" "YOU KNOW SHE DOESN'T LIKE MIMES WHY WOULD YOU PICK A MIME MOVIE?" he screamed at her "because i know you wanted her all over you" i could hear her say through the phone. He hung up on her. "you just-" he put his finger on my lips interupting me "she is a jerk.. and if someone is a jerk to you they are going to hear from me from now on". We didnt see Eve or Will after that.

Zac and I went a million places. But my favorite was hottopic. I found out that we had a lot of similar music tastes. His favorite song was by Black Veil Brides. It was called knives and pens. We got into a conversation with a little boy. He's was at cute as a button. I just wanted to pinch his cheeks and keep him forever. He said that Of Mice & Men was his favorite band because Austin went through what he Went through. We got into a huge conversation about how music saves lives. And before you know it it's was 5:30. We decided to go get pretzels.

At about 6:30 Zac had to leave so we walked outside. i had put my skateboard on the ground and gotten on it. Zac grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes " you know i had a great time with you today, its was better than if had spent my day with Eve and Will" i took a breath" i had a great time even tho i was nervous at first because i was scared i wasn't good enough" he pulled my close " your more than enough" he kissed my cheek as he put my phone in my pocket "don't forget this" as he winked i said "have you had my phone the whole time..." he looked at me "yeah and there's a surprise" He Smiled And Walked Away. i grabbed my phone out of my pocket and turned it on, My heart raced as i looked at my screen it said "iMessage From Zac <3- Surprise ;)"
