"Adriana, you've done it again."
Thick, grey smoke steamed up from the singeing blade. Or, what used to be a sword, before the mystic flames of her friend Sarah had torn it up. Adriana cringed and timidly set it on the kitchen table. "Oh no you don't. Sword blades don't go on the table, for one. You need to take that to Filife to get it repaired- and I mean right away. Your outing can wait." Her mother scolded. She opened her mouth to protest, but closed it a second later after realizing she wouldn't win the argument. Adriana picked it back up and started out the door towards Filife's hut. The blinding sunlight made her pause before continuing along the slightly worn path. She passed the many homes of her sector, each decorated in a similar type of Acacia wood. She glanced down at the silver sword for a moment. Sarah and her were messing around with fairy magic again. She rolled her eyes at what Sarah's plan had been.
"Please, Adriana? I really wanted to try out this new spell! I promise it'll be worth it. I've found a separate text that makes me even more suspicious this is the correct way." Sarah begged. Adriana crossed her arms but sighed and had followed her to their favorite spot. "Ok. Just lift your sword like so and pretend you're charging at me. I'll say the spell and make the sword shatter and hit the ground," Sarah instructed. Adriana was concerned.
"Are you sure that's safe? I mean, the shards could hit me..a ton of stuff could go wrong!" Adriana didn't know too much about fairy magic, and didn't have not much of an interest either. She would much rather be practice shooting her bow or studying the less ambiguous magics. Sarah just rolled her eyes and stretched out her hands. She had a strange sparkle to them.
"Fine Faeia Fales!" Sarah shouted. Adriana was going to tell her to keep it down...but...instead of shattering into shards everywhere, the sword had warped and melted, nearly burning her.
Thinking about it just made her annoyed. Sarah didn't always understand the concept of thinking things through. No matter, but now she had to take this to Filife, that annoying creepy guy with a crush on her. To make it worse, Sarah herself liked Filife some. Anyone with any logic couldn't possibly fall for that guy as hard as Sarah had a couple years ago. Which is actually exactly the reason why Adriana was taking the sword herself; things could've gotten too dramatic for her own liking. She reached his home and stepped quietly inside, placing the blade on the Blade Table. She tip toed back out, quickly as possible. A grin came over her face as she got further and further away. Now they could take their hover boards out to the springs. Lauren, Sarah, and Adriana had planned this for a week.
Well speaking of Lauren and Sarah.
"OUcH you guys let go of my arm!" Adriana protested. The two just kept on dragging her towards the place where three hovers were parked. "Wait a minute, how did you guys get my hover here too?" She questioned, perplexed. Sarah rolled her eyes and Lauren just smiled.
"It wasn't easy you know. Be grateful. Come on, the sun will set in not much more than an hour!" Sarah commented.

For a while, there was nothing.
No sound, nothing but blackness...only the sense of falling. Continuously falling into the dark.
He felt the wind change. It swept across his cheek, increasing in speed rapidly. Boiling clouds came into view below him. A flicker of lightning flashed. The thunder boomed, and he quickly became aware of his surroundings. He gradually stopped falling, coming to rest on seemingly solid air. Jayex looked around. He noticed someone walking towards him. He rested a hand on the hilt of his sword in caution, wary of whoever this was.
