The true story

"Well, where to start... I guess at the beginning. When your mother was pregnant with you, there was a dark wizard rising. He was gaining more and more followers. Our world got darker by the day, it was horrible. Your parents sent you away to protect you."

Cecilia froze. This guy must be insane. This can't be true. 

Ethan threw a glance at the girl. He could see there was a storm inside her mind, but she couldn't really move. He sat closer to her and held her hand.

"A young woman decided to take care of you. And take you somewhere out of Europe. She decided to take you to California, as you know. And then a miracle happened. The dark Lord has been defeated. You were a one year old back then. But there's a problem: It wasn't over, as many believed and still do believe," Remus finished.

Cecilia started shaking violently. "You make no sense! If all of this actually is true, why would you bring me back?" she asked.

"Well, there's another thing. The couple that adopted you... They died." 

 "What the fuck are you talking about?" her eyes got wet as she jumped out of her sit and ran out of the pub.

She ran down the street as fast as she could, ignoring the calls that rang behind her. Suddenly she felt a pair of arms wrap around her and hug her close. Cecilia was about to start fighting against te grip but she heard her friend's voice saying: ''It's alright, shhh, it's alright.'' Her knees gave out and she would have fallen if it wasn't for Ethan who caught her. He lifted her up and let her sob into his shoulder.

Ethan turned back around to glare at Remus and Albus. "We're telling the truth. We're going to show you okay? Look," Albus said. He waved his wand. Sparkles blew out of it."I.. I belive them," Ethan turned to Cecilia. She nodded her head. "So do I," she whispered.

"I just need some time to process all this,'' the girl said weakly.''Of course, understandable,'' the old man nodded smiling.

"Can we get some privacy?" Ethan said.

"Uhm... yeah... Sure. You can go back to California if you want to?" Albus said.Ethan looked at Cecilia. She nodded. Cecilia took the earphones out of her pocket and put them into her ears. She put on Dear mama by Tupac and put the volume to full. ''I can take you back there,'' Remus tried to talk to her.

"You know she can't hear you right?'' Ethan told him. The wizard looked at him weirdly but didn't say anything. Cecilia held Ethan's hand and he led her forward. Ironically, Going back to Cali started playing in Cecilia's ears.

''Hold tight to my hand,'' Remus instructed. The young boy griped the older man's hand and soon the strange and highly uncomfortable feeling took over.
