The lessons that day flew by for Fiona. All she could think about is how sad Demise sounded earlier. She tried to dismiss those thoughts by thinking of where Kai might take her for the date. After all, that was the point, was to get her to forget and feel better. Right? Fiona started to feel bad. It was as if she was just using Kai as a stress reliever. She started to doubt herself and if she could go through with the date toni-
"Fiona!" A voice snapped Fiona away from her thoughts. It belonged to the teacher. "Is everything ok sweetie?"
"Oh. Uhhh... Yes Ms. Johnson." She didn't know how to respond. She had never been called on by the teacher like that before.
"Alright well you'd better hope you can get the notes from a friend because by the looks of it you don't have any down."
Fiona looked down at her paper and sure enough, she hadn't written any of the notes. This caused her to blush in embarrassment as a couple of the kids snickered at her. She knew she had no reason to be embarrassed since she was the top student but when everyone was staring at you and laughing it was hard not to be. Melody looked over at Fiona with a worried look. It was like her to not get the notes so she knew something was troubling her.
No matter how much she tried to focus on the work, Fiona's mind would continue to wander aimlessly. Perhaps if she talked to Melody she could help her feel better about the date. But between now and the date there would be no time to talk to her. Fiona simply sighed while looking down at her half completed paper. Perhaps she was just over thinking the situation. Maybe she just needed to let go of her worries.
The rest of the class went dreadfully slow but Fiona started to feel better. She began to forget her worries and to just enjoy what was happening. She let out a gentle sigh as she began the work the teacher assigned after note taking. Her grades were the number one thing to worry about after all. Her parents have-... Well, had, high expectations for her. She was always a grade A student and that made her parents proud. Even though they weren't there to see it themselves, she wanted to do her very best in case they were watching her from high up.
When she got the opportunity, Fiona got her missing notes from a person nearby who was happy to help.
