The First Day pt.4

Garroth's pov

I noticed Aphmau looking at me when she was done talking with Nicole and Kawaii~chan. I pretended not to. When I looked up next I see Aphmau, she looked like she was about to cry and her face was pale.

Then I hear a kid yell "Mommy!" I turn my head and see two boys running towards Aph. She almost started crying when she saw them. We were all confused when she started scolding them like a mother. I walked over to see if everything was okay.

I let her be until the darker darker haired boy, Malachi, explained why he came. I noticed the blonde kid, Levin passed out hugging Aph.

"Come on." Aphmau looked up at me. She looks so cute I can barely stand it. "It looks like these two are tired." I say pointing to Malachi as he cuddles Aph's legs.

She puts Levin in my arms and I faintly hear him say "Daddy." Apperently she hears it too and smiles a bit as I blush."Come on, I'll call Zoey on our way to the office." She says as she picks Malachi up.

In the hall Aphmau talks on the phone for a couple minutes and I can hear how relived the person on the other end is. "Who's Zoey?" "She's Malachi and Levin's caretaker when I'm not home and my best friend in the world."

"So, you live alone? Without any parents I mean." "Yeah, I have no memory of my parents and had been alone my whole life. I meet Zoey a few years back. Levin was just left on my doorstep and I needed someone to take care of him when I was at work and school."

All I could do was stay quiet. Who knew a girl as sweet and friendly as Aphmau could have such a past? She kept talking "I found Malachi in the cold snow in my neighborhood that winter. I could tell at a glance that he was sick and that he would die if I didn't help. I took him to a hospital and when he was all better took him in."

She smiled at the memory. "Levin was so happy to have a..." "Big brober?" At some point Levin woke up in my arms. He looked at Malachi and Aphmau then at me. "Daddy?" "Shhh. Go back to sleep little one."

Once he was asleep Aphmau looks at me and smiles. I blush a little. How can I not when she's staring at me with those beautiful chocolate brown eyes? "W-what?" I try not to stutter and end up doing it any way. "Thank you."

Then she kisses me on the cheek! It felt good but I couldn't help it that my face was on fire. I look at Aphmau for a moment and her face looks the way mine feels. "L-Lets get these t-two to the office. Z-Zoey has to be t-there by n-now." "Y-yes l-lets."

And with that last stutter we start walking a bit faster.
