"Jack?"
"Hm?"
"You're spacing off again. You forgot to say your lines." Dean looked at him, confused and slightly annoyed.
"Huh? I did? Oh, sorry man. Didn't mean it." Jack rubbed the back of his neck. Ever since Summer in the City, he couldn't help but think about the kiss they had shared. Sure, it was for the fans and it wasn't supposed to mean anything, but for some reason, it meant something to him. It almost disturbed him that he was crushing on his best friend.
"Jack, you're doing it again! What's going on? This isn't normal for you." The dark haired boy gestured towards the sofa in the corner. "Sit down and talk to me, Jack. If there's something bothering you, then tell me, please. I wanna help."
The taller of the two sighed and sat down. He stared at the carpet for a good few minutes, leaving the two seated in silence. Dean could tell something was bothering Jack. He could see it in his eyes.
"Jack, if you're not ready to talk about it yet, then let's wai-"
"No Dean. I need to get this off my chest...Remember when we were on stage at Summer in the City?"
"I do. It was only last month. How could I forget?" The shorter boy chuckled.
"You know how we...um...you know..."
"Oh is this about the kiss thing? I told you when we planned it, it wasn't for me. It was for the fans!"
"I know this, Dean! What I'm trying to say is...ugh...fuck it! Forget I even said anything." Jack stood up, frustrated. He began to walk away when Dean grabbed him,
"Jack, wait. Just tell me. You know I'm not going to tell anyone."
The blonde turned and faced the smaller man. Dean stared at him, waiting for a response. Jack shut his eyes and drew in a sharp breath.
"Dean, I like you."
