Taty's POV

The next day I went back to school as if nothing happened. I didn't honestly think that I would have to deal with creeps following me home. Just thinking about what happened yesterday send shivers down my back.

On the bright side I was doing better at curbing my cravings. I haven't had any blood in about four days.

Could you imagine going for days without food?

Unfortunately it's too easy for me. I will never ever want chocolate, pizza, or any junk food ever again.

I read up a little bit on the book. There was an entire chapter on Anima gemella... But I'm fortunately I'm not sure what that is, it's probably written in a different language.

Explain that some vampires had unusual cravings, like the one I had for Hayes's blood, which though I admit hasn't bothered me much, but isn't yet completely under control.

I really didn't want to go to biology today, sure the class was fun but Hayes was a little too interested in me and may pose a threat.

I used to know him. he used to be my friend, so I promised myself I wouldn't hurt him.

If I let him get too close then he could find out what I truly am and expose me. In theory it was easy to avoid him, and I'm sure it wouldn't take much.

I could keep conversations short, walk straight past him in the hallway, and keep moving along.

But it was only that simple in theory.

Today we got paired up in Spanish to do an oral presentation. It was entitled ¿Quién soy yo? (Who am I) it is an assignment where we basically write a few facts about ourselves and share with the class.

Hayes and I decided to work out the details later.

This was just impossible.

All I wanted was for him to keep his questions to himself... Is that too much to ask?

I walk into the classroom and take my seat quietly. Of course Hayes had made it here before I did.

"Hey." He said casually spinning from side to side in his chair.

I forced a smile in response.

"What's up with you?"

"Nothing." I responded.

"What are we going to do for the Spanish project?" He asks.

"I wouldn't worry if I were you. It's really simple we should be able to get it done quickly."

"If we went to my house my brother would probably bother us though.  Would you mind if I swung by your apartment instead."

My eyes went wide.

"Apartment?" I repeated.

"Did I say something wrong." He asks confused.

"I never told you I lived in an apartment."

"Lucky guess?"

"It was you wasn't it. You were the one who followed me home?"

"I have no idea what your talking about."

"Oh just admit it Hayes. I knew I had smelled something familiar." I spoke muttering the last part.

"What?" Hayes asks.

"Nothing." I respond. "I think I need to leave." I get up to walk out of the classroom.

"Hey, hey where are you going?" My science teacher called out from across the room. Right. I forgot where I was for a moment.

"Sorry sir, I'm just feeling really sick." His brows knotted together.

"Yes, that's fine. Go to the nurses office." I take my cue and leave without another word. I had to go somewhere to clear my head.
