another idea of mine; enjoy!

Coffee shop blues should be the name of my autobiography. Every day since I came to New York, I've been working. This coffee shop has been my home almost from all the hours I put in to pay my apartment. Alas, it has it's perks: New York is where I finally can see my heroes and follow my dreams.

Going in today is like any other day: the old men in their normal table, the young girls who try to get a glimpse of the Tony Stark, the office men who get on my nerves. Today, however, another man is present; he is quite different from the rest. He has a blue plaid shirt on with khakis and a brown leather jacket, his hair done as if it were the 1940's. There is something else that distinguishes him: he has the bluest of blue eyes.

I sigh, knowing he would go for the broke girl who tries to catch a break in this cruel world. I still have to take his order.

"Hi, I'm Y/N and I'll be your server. What would you like?" This phrase is one I have said thousands of times in the last month alone.

"Um, may I please have some coffee?" That throws me off guard; this might be the nicest person in all New York.

"Sure, what size?" Somehow, I feel like this man has more to say than just wanting coffee.
After his reply, I leave, noticing that the old man, whose name I know is Stan, talks to this mystery man.

Upon returning, I set down his coffee, saying, "Will that be all today, Sir?"

"Um, yeah. Thank you."

"Alright then. Here is your check. Take as much time as you need." I move to go back inside, seeing that mystery man drinks his coffee quickly and putting down money on the table. He sees me staring and smiles; I blush at the response. Mystery man leaves with his notebook and newspaper in hand.

When I go back to clean up, I notice that on the check, there is a note.

Thank you, Y/N. I'll be back, but you can call me, maybe?
