We made our way to what seemed like an office. This place was huge! On our way, I counted all the doors that I could see, which exceeded the number twenty.
Woah, these guys are loaded. I swear I must've looked like a fat kid in a candy store. I was so amazed by my surroundings. Of course, I'd never admit it to them that this place was amazing.
I wonder what my parents are up to now. I looked down sadly at my feet. I should never have left.
This day is not ideal.
Suddenly my face hit the wall. I staggered, rubbing my nose. I looked up with a scowl at the wall, which happened to not be a wall but the douche who told me to follow him.
I glared at his ugly, broad back anyway.
He cleared his throat, "we're here" he mumbled in a gruff voice. He hesitatingly knocked on the door which I reckoned was Cole Evan's office.
We got a grunt in reply.
I'm screwed.
The douche opened the door revealing a very serious Cole Evans who was seated gracefully on a very fancy chair, his arms on both sides of the arm rest and his right leg crossed over his left. To be honest, he looked like a villain from one of those old vampire movies.
I did not enter the office. Probably the douche thought, not for long, and pushed me inside. Not so hard that I'd fall but hard enough that I'd stumble inside the office.
I whipped my head to look at the guy but he was long gone leaving me glaring at the now closed door.
I huffed and crossed my arms. "What do you want?" I spat coldly at Him.
He looked up, his serious demeanour faltering and replaced by an amused one. He stood up straight, brushed some imaginary dust off his shirt and slowly started making his way towards me.
He radiated confidence and power making me feel like cowering but that was the last thing I'd do especially to the likes of him.
I stood up straighter and held my head high, challenging him.
He was just an arm's length away with hands in his pockets, a confident smirk playing on his lips.
"You ran away from home, didn't you" He stated cockily.
I gritted my teeth and glared at him in response.
"It's a good thing because I really needed someone to take Chase's place in the ....business. I want you to be my apprentice, miss Heather" he finished giving me a cocky smile.
I was left gapping.
"What!" I exclaimed, obviously shocked.
"Why not?" He said it so casually, like it was no big deal.
Kill
Me
Now.
