My heart thumped as I failed to catch my breath as I was running far from the abyss that followed me.
My feet were hurt and my stomach protested against the cold that whipped my skin.
As I felt my surroundings getting clear, I could sense the ice clad concrete beneath me. It was slippery and I flailed my arms around to glide through it.
There was a distant voice nagging me, almost taunting me to turn around and face my wretched fate.
As on queue, I lost my balance and landed on the hard cold soil. Almost breaking my pelvis on the thick ice.
My vision got blurry and my eyes clouded over and I shut them tightly."Open your eyes." The Voice commanded. It was a boy's. And it had a deep accent on it that I couldn't place.
"No"
"Rose, it's okay. I'm here." The boy chuckled. And I could just melt away hearing my name from his lips. His voice was like a child but it was assertive and held power.
"V?" I muttered, barely a whisper.
"Yes, I'm here, Rose. I made the monsters go away!"
His calm and carefree voice sparked reverence and confidence in me. I slowly peeled my eyes open and I saw the most beautiful little boy I've ever seen.
His hair was tousled over his forehead and was darker than midnight. His nose was stark and his lips were rosy red. And oh, his eyes!
And his eyes, as dense as the gold-green savannah with earthly brown flakes scattered around the centre. And they were luminous. As if they held an eerie glow themselves in this black night.
"V" I squealed and I jumped on him so hard that he was pushed backwards.
It was then I realized that I was wearing a frilly pink dressed, the one my seven year old self adored.

You know you get that feeling of free-falling in your sleep? When actually you're just there, laying down. And you jolt up, out of your sleep? Yeah. I kinda had that right now.
Normally people are just there on their bed with their "Lub-dup" right against their ribs.
But I am clumsy. And just have to fall off the frigging bed. And bang my head on almost everything.
Ouch.
Anyways. Speaking of banging. Where am I?
Last night's party flashed in front of my eyes. And how I managed to spend the entire evening snorting.
Rosary, you little shit. Say no to cute boys with drugs.
But. How? I mean they're so cute. Smh.
Holding myself still against the nightstand I let my eyes adjust to the darkness in the room. It's clearly not mine.
It's elegant with monochrome themed everything. And too damn neat for my likes.
I like my room messy. It gives you a very homely feeling. Even if my mom hates it and swears that she will ground me. She never does.
I move across the room and trip on fine air on my way.
Suddenly the whole room is lightwashed and I cover my eyes to block the blinding light.
"God?"
"I like the sound of that but I go with Vincent." a strange voice said right next to my ear which made me fly out to the ground. But before my face could plummet straight against the white carpet, strong hands grabbed me by my hair.
