Maka's emerald orbs drifted from the empty hallway, to Souls closed door, and back to the hallway. She was on a mission.

"C'mon Maks, he's been asleep for hours" she whispered a set of encouragement into the silent darkness, before slipping from the safety of her doorway, and into the hallway. She froze, unmoving, waiting for a sound to arise from behind the confinement of Souls room, but to her joy, no movement sounded. So she continued her trek to the kitchen.

Tip toe, freeze, listen, continue.

She repeated these specific steps a few times, until she reached the kitchen. The cold tile met her bare feet with safety and a chill. No more creaks in the wooden floorboards.
I padded softly across the tile, but now with more freedom and ease. In the darkness, I made out the small knob handle to the cabinet and slowly pulled it open, pausing for a moment after the small pop that released when I pulled it out of its resting spot. I then spotted it, my salvation.

Cocoa Puffs.

Soul never lets me touch it, it's so unhealthy but so good, and whenever he catches me trying to take some I always exclaim I'd get fat, so whenever I want some or want to buy some for myself, Souls always there reminding me "Maka I thought those make you fat?" He always says it mockingly too, he knows I'm lying. I just can't stand Corn Flakes anymore! And I won't give in either, my egos too big.

I reached for the delicious chocolaty goodness, when suddenly I felt arms around me. Fuck. I hadn't heard his soft footsteps behind me.

"Oi Maka, I thought you said those are unhealthy? What in heavens word are you doing at 1:30 AM sneaking my Cocoa Puffs?" He said into my hair, I could hear the sly mocking grin in his voice. I coughed.
"The hell? I was getting. . . . Beans!" I exclaimed, grabbing the can of beans that sit near inches away from the heavenly cereal box. He snickered.

"Oh Maka. Oh my little Maka. I'll have to make sure you don't ever take any of my Cocoa Puffs." He said, somewhat menacingly. A shiver erupted and raced down my spine.

He then took me by the hand, gripping me tightly but not so it hurt, leading me to his door way. He flopped onto his bed, sighed, and pulled me down into his arms. I squealed.

"Soul!-"

"Hush, sleep now. Cocoa Puffs later." He whispered sleepily into my hair, kissing the crown of my head, his arms wrapped around me from behind. I closed my eyes and smiled to myself.

This is certainly better than Cocoa Puffs.

(a/n) very small, but just mostly cute! I'm trying to update as often as I can but as I may or may not have mentioned, I do not always have access to wifi, my house actually does not get any! So I usually use my schools wifi, or my friends wifi to post and such. I'm so grateful for those of you that are sticking with me, thank you!
