The world was spinning around me and I fell to the ground holding my head.  I was so dizzy, it hurt to think... I waited for it to fade to black, I was hoping I'd go unconscious before too long but I didn't.  I picked myself up, shaking and stumbling from the disorientation I was feeling, gradually getting worse and worse.  As I felt myself about to fall again, I reached out to the closest thing I could find--only to discover it fade to nothingness.

Was this really what the world was like in another reality?

I shook my head and stayed planted on the floor, terrified to stand up and feel it get worse all over again.  I could hear voices mix and melt in the background making my stomach flip.  They sounded angry, perhaps deranged, even. What was this?  I kept my eyes level to the earth and wished for all the madness to stop, watching vaguely as footsteps made their way to me.  "Phil?"  The familiar voice echoed as the person moved closer, and distorted over a brief period of time.  "Phil!!" I tried to look up but my head felt too heavy with pain and confusion.

"Dan?"

I sprung up from my bed and couldn't breathe normally.  A nightmare?  One hell of a nightmare, clearly...  I looked around the room suspiciously, worried that it wouldn't be real, and I would find myself downward spiralling into a panicking state once again.  It seemed real...  I climbed out from under the covers and took a deep breath, walking into the kitchen to get some water.  I figured it was probably that Dan was still missing--and perhaps still trapped on the other side of the mirror.

The voice repeated over and over in my head, same panicked tone, "Phil!  Phil!  Phil!"  Was there an end to it?  I shook my head trying to maybe toss the thoughts from my head.  This wasn't normal, not at all.  But then again, the situation wasn't exactly typical either, was it?  I found the water overflowing out of the cup and turned off the tap, then drained the glass a bit.  My thoughts were taking away my concentration...  I needed to get him back, and I needed to make sure he was safe.

I set the glass down and walked to nearest mirror.  "I'll get you out of this Dan, I promise."  I thought for a minute, and spoke again, "Once I figure out how to get to you, I'll bring you back."
