Misaki POV
I jolt awake at the sound of my Alarm, and find myself struggling to find it with my eyes half-open. I groan in annoyance, and my annoyance grows at the unbearing sound of the alarm. Ding. Ding. And lots of high pitched dings.
It sounds as if its mocking me, like that time when I just came home from gym, and my mum just had to buy some chocolate cake and leave it out on the table.

My inpatient fingers touch the metal device and fight to hit the off switch. To no avail. I end up hitting the alarm off my bed-side table with frustration and straight into the curtains, jolting them aside slightly.

The morning light surges through the window, and I squint, turning my head away. "Uuughhh.." The me that hates mornings moans in responce. At least the damned alarm stopped, I think.

Lazily, I lift myself up into a sitting position, rubbing my blue, tired eyes frantically until they decide to stay open.

When they do, my gaze clocks the interior of my room, and land on a new bag and school uniform.

Noooo its schoooool.

I groan like a very over weight man trying to get out of a tight space, and walk over to my bathroom to take a shower, which does the trick of waking me up. Slightly.

After drying up, I put my school uniform on: remembering the time when my Nan got me the ugliest jumper for Christmas and coming to a conclusion this uniform could've been worse.

While brushing through my tangled, brown hair, my Mothers voice echoes from the kitchen. "Azura! Breakfast!"

"Comming." I sigh, noting that she probably didn't even hear my super-excited-for-school responce. I tumble down the stairs with my new bag in toe, and sit down at the kitchen table where a plate of pancakes is placed. A small smile itches onto my face, despite the circumstances. My Mum really knows how to cheer her daughter up.

"Thanks Mum!" I say, and begin devouring it.

"Are you excited for school, Azura?" My Mother asks, giving me her usual good morning grin.

"Um." A flashback from this mornings Alarm accident overcomes me, and i roll my eyes at my morning behaviour. "You could say maybe, but you could say nope."

"Hmm?" My Mum shakes her head, and joins me at the table for her breakfast. "Sounds like this year will be interesting." Her gaze meets my slightly confused one, and she continues, "Just try and try something new to do this year. Im sure you'll find something to excite you."

"Don't think so." I state, finishing the remains of my pancakes. "But ill try."

My first impression of Touou Academy isn't as bad as I thought. The day is sunny and bright, and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful that they both compliment eachother. The air around me is full with chatter and laughter as I walk deeper and deeper into the school premisis.

I don't really know where I'm going, I just keep walking as my legs carry me; although I end up picking out a random, trustworthy person to follow and that'll hopefully lead me in the right direction.

Luckily, it does.

Once I enter the main building, my breath hitches and my muscles tighten. There's people everywhere; chatting unbearably loudly in unbearably large groups, banging into you as you walk by (that really ticks me off) and those nosey, uncomfortable people who just stare at people as they go by.

I have just about shoved my way past to the office before I was about to lose it and go insane. Calm and peaceful my ass, I complain to myself. First impressions fool you.

I rub my hand against my forehead and tiredly walk over to the office desk as if I just fell down a hole and got shit on by a bird on my way up. The office lady asks for my name with so much enthusiasm that she looks like she's a balloon about to pop. I cant believe she likes this job, it makes me cringe.

"Misaki Azura." I reply bluntly, as the nods her head and scurries away.

Letting out a sigh followed by a yawn, I grasp this moment in my hands. A moment of peace. Which will soon be over when the bell rings.
While waiting, I see one block of toilettes down the hall which is surrounded by loud, obnoxious girls with make-up bags in their hands. I mentally note to not go to those ones.

"Got it!" The office lady chirps, walking over and handing a folded paper to me.

"Alright. Thanks." I answer, taking up the paper in my hands. Taking a breath, I reluctantly unfold it and scan through my timetable for this year.
"Tch. Math first?? Gahhh...!!" I complain, grumpily making haste to get to my class first before I'm squished by the bell.

-

I walk in, ignoring the other three people in the room, and take up a chair by the window so I have something to look at if I get bored.

Once settled, my hand moves to cup my cheek as I watch the entrance curiously, seeing who will come through.

First is a black haired guy with glasses, and I recoil when he walks over in my direction.
He sits at the desk beside mine, and I pout, knowing ill have to put up with four-eyes as my neighbour this year.

"Man...you don't need to look so grumpy on the first day, it ruins that pretty face of yours." Four-eyes' voice speaks up beside me, and I jolt up at his comment. A very light hue tints my cheeks, so not that even he could notice. I turn away from him – pouting – to look through the window. A short laugh is heard behind me and I sigh.

"Im not grumpy...and its not like I want to be, even if I was..." I mutter, pursing my lips and once again resting my face against my palm.

"Well then.." I hear him say, and once I turn around to look at him, I also notice the class is pretty much full by now. "I see thats how it is." He huffs. "Im Yoshinori Susa."

My eyebrows raise slightly, and I reluctantly murmur, "Im..Misaki Azura."

By the time Math is over, Ive completed a quiz and easily scored 98%. Im chuffed, but annoyed at only 2% was needed to get full marks. Figures.

And the guy that sat next to me, Yoshinori, mentioned that he was the vice-captain of Touou's Basketball team, and the Point Guard –whatever that is. I pretended to listen, although I knew nothing of the sport. But it sounds interesting, and I said I might try it out.

-

"Geez...even the first day was a drag." I complain, as I walk down the road towards a food place on my way home to pick up a Milkshake. I really fancy one right now, after a boring day.

I enter the building, and walk to the till. The place is quite busy, but I see no one from my school here, which is good to know. I come here often, and I don't want people to know that and stalk me or something. You never know.

I order, and just before I am about to leave with my chocolate milkshake, a male voice hums from behind me. "Ill take one of those that the brunette ordered."

The guy comes and stands beside me, and my gaze turns to meet his. The blonde smiles at me, and I return the gesture with a half-hearted one.

I look him over: he's wearing a blue school uniform, named 'Kaijo', and he has bright golden eyes which shine like the sun.

"Im Kise Ryota."
