:Reminder:

Cara apparently found her keys. She was looking at me like she was asking me what was wrong. She doesn't have her hearing again. I knew everything about her. I know where she grew up I know who her parents are. I even know her favorite food. I smiled at her and shook my head. She does not want to know what is going on up there. I held out my arm for her to take, but she declined and stepped out the door motioning me to come on. Well. Shit. I had no idea what I am supposed to do in the next twenty-four hours. I smiled at Cara and walked out of her apartment and waited at the top of the stairs.

Cara's POV:

I can't believe I kissed him. He had no right to do that. But you liked it, you know you do. Oh shut up.

Great, now I'm talking to myself. I guess I better get used to the silence with him otherwise I'll keep talking to myself. I walked behind Johnathon until we reached the basement where my car is. Johnathon walked over to my car without me letting him know which one it was. I stopped dead in my tracks. Why does he know which one is mine? I didn't tell him. How does he know?

He looked up from his hand on my passenger side door and stared at me. A flicker of emotion passed over his face and then just as fast as it appeared it quickly left. He let go of the handle and stepped back while lifting his hands.

'This is your car, right?' I slowly nodded and pressed the button so that the doors unlock. He nodded and got in. I stood outside for a minute and shook my head, clearing my thoughts. I got in and put my key in the ignition. I backed the car out of my regular spot and cruised toward the exit. Since it was the mid afternoon there wasn't much traffic on the roads. I turned right out of the garage and hit the stoplight at the intersection. The hospital isn't that far away but I don't feel like walking the sixteen blocks in this heat. I reached up and turned the air conditioner on full blast and just at that moment Johnathon reached up to turn the radio on. I usually don't have it on and I even asked the dealer to take it out completely, but they said that would cost over six hundred dollars. I told them to just forget it.

Our hands touched and I felt a small jolt when our skin made contact. I jerked my hand back and rubbed it on my jeans. I saw him stare at his hand through the corner of my eye and gripped the steering wheel tighter and pressed on the gas when the light finally turned green. I started to drum my thumbs on the rim on the steering wheel and slowly nodded my head to a beat in my head. I smiled and started to lip sync a Distubed song. I noticed Johnathon looking at me so I looked over at him at the next red light. I made a face that said 'what?'

'I can hear you singing. You're singing The Game by Disturbed.' I just stared at him until I saw the light turn green out of the corner of my eye. I shook my head and kept on my way to the hospital.
