The snow was falling on the outside of the Coffee Shop. Many people came in just to stay out of the cold, eventually buying a hot cup of coffee. The manager waited patiently at the end of the day for Coffee Boy to come visit. But no one showed up.
As the manager sighed and grabbed his things he said "good night" aloud even if only the coffee was their to respond. A knock on the "Closed" sign broke the silence. It was a girl, though.
He opened up and let her in. He poured a cup of hot cocoa in a small tea cup and listened to her squeaky voice.
"Umm, sorry you have to stay here after your shift."
"Oh, no no! I have nothing to go home to anyways."
"Then what are you waiting for?" She shyly looked up from the spoon being mixed around.
"I was waiting for someone to come actually."
"Who's that?"
"Coffee Boy is what we call him."
"Oh. Well that is cool I guess." She sipped her cup with such elegance.
"So why did you come here?" He finally asked, clearing his throat.
"I needed shelter. Yeah that is what I needed.
"Are you heartbroken?"
She sighed heavily. "How'd you guess?"
"I have a great sense. You know Coffee Boy was too. So what's the matter?"
"Well there is guy 1 that I love. And guy 2 that I used to date. And now a guy 3 has entered my life."
"And....?"
"I love guy 1. But he left. I loved guy 2 when guy 1 was loving me. And now that both Na- I mean guy 1 has left me and guy 2 has left me, guy 3 is trying to approach me."
"But who do you love?"
"Guy 1."
"Do you like guy 2? Do you like guy 3?"
"No. I don't."
"Good. Now take those words and put them to real life. And do you have any clues where guy 1 is?"
"Ummmm..."
"Well when you do... Find him."
She smiled. "Arigato." She left with her blonde hair leaving last.
