Fandom is a term used to refer to a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of empathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest.
For one, many people leave fandoms because of the hate. For example, you may ship something and others might not. People hate on the ships and more put useless comments that hurt the feelings of others.
But guess what?
Everyone has their own opinion.
It's okay to avoid pictures of certain ships, but don't hate a person for shipping something you don't or vise-versa.
Plus, many people share common ships. And it's okay not to have ANY ships in common! Just have fun!
