" You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel. "

summary: taissa comes back to town with her boyfriend of two months and visits the cast of ahs on their party. ryan had rented a full on carnival for the whole cast to enjoy until midnight. would evan find himself in an awkward situation?

they had just finished filming the finale for season two when ryan called for all of them to gather inside the mess hall.

"what is it about?" evan asked sarah. he was really tired and his eyes were puffy; he basically just wanted to flop down and lose himself to sleep.

"it's something about the party, i guess." she replied with a shrug on her shoulders.

"party for what?"

"didn't really hear much about it. are you going?"

he sighed, but nodded his approval.

ryan's announcement was brief because he wanted for the cast to share a speech of their own, which erupted tears from so many eyes.

"all of you better be there tonight," ryan sniffled and threw a hard look on evan. "it'll be the last time we will all see each other until the premiere."

when the night came, evan was surprisingly stoked to try the coaster sarah has been bugging him about. he dressed as casual as his closet could get him: plain black shirt layered by a flannel, his overused denim jeans, and some ragged black chucks.

the ride to the carnival was fast. sarah drove him there. they were silent, a little casual talks here and there, but mostly it was just the music blaring in the space that echoed in their ears.

once they got inside the tent where the cast was supposed to meet, evan felt an overwhelming feeling rising up his spine.

to his left he heard a familiar chuckle from a certain brunette.

"taissa!" sarah rushed to give her a hug. "i'm so glad you could make it!"

"yeah. vera needed to visit mom's beach house anyway." she chuckled. "so how was the set?"

"it has a really creepy plot." sarah said. "but i'm quite mad at you." she pouted.

"what? why?"

"why didn't you come back for season two?"

"uh-"

the speaker boomed with ryan's voice.

"hello-hello. great. it's working now! thanks." he started. "anyway, wow. you guys did a wonderful job on this season! now, i'm not going to be a tear jerker tonight and drag my speech into a long one because i know some of you are dying to ride the hottest ride in town." howling and loud clapping erupted, but then silenced as soon as ryan lifted his hand. "if this season does well, there might be a chance of the show being renewed. if it does, i would like to ask whoever's available in the cast to return. that's all. thank you again and have a fun night at the carnival."

as people started to file out of the widespread tent, ryan's voice spoke again, "one more thing. there's going to be a short entertainment called 'freakshow' inside the tent next to this. it starts around midnight. it's a great way to boost your energy back up!"

evan hang around with sarah the whole night, jessica opted out of the carousel ride for some reason. they grabbed popcorn and cotton candy along the way.
