Chapter Five

"Is this a dream?" I asked CC for about the millionth time. He looked just about ready to tape my mouth shut and tie me to a chair so did my mom and Jason.

"JADELYN WINTER SHADOWS!" full name not good sign. "FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME YOU ARE AWAKE!" ouch my mom gets annoyed easily so she just yelled at me.

I hate the fact that no one but my mom, dad and the doctors who delivered me know my full name. Jason, CC, Jake, Scar, Jinxx and Sammi only know me by J or Jade. Even the schools I went only knew me as Jade not Jadelyn.

But can you blame me for being so excited to move in with the guy I love? It's not everyday a girl like me gets to move in with the love of her life.

"Jade help me I told you I'm not moving ALL of the boxes by myself" CC was only three steps from sitting the box with my shoes. "Come on it's not even that heavy it's only three pairs of boots, ten pairs of converse, ten pairs of vans and one pair of strappy heels."

"Jade help or else CC and I are eating all the chocolate swirl cookies mom made". Insert death glare at Jason and CC for laughing in the background. "You wouldn't dare Jace you know mom's cookies are the most amazing thing in the world".

CC's "hey" echoed out the truck "Sorry babe you're a very close second" I yelled back. I looked back at Jason 'try me' he mouthed. Gasp he would I ran up stairs and took the first box I could find.

He is so evil to me sometimes like when I taped him to a chair. What? I was only six anyways he was a very clever four year old. I would break something, mom would come then Jason says "Wade wroke whe wase" evil but funny.

I walked back downstairs laughing to myself. CC and Jace gave me weird looks as I walked up to the truck. "ha ha ha this was the last box in the room"

"*dang* I knew you should have used that earlier Jace" I laughed again holding my sides. I love how Jace and CC act like brothers. CC is basically the big brother Jace never had and it makes me happy because they get together and hang out nicely.

"Guys the cookies are ready hurry before Jade..........." she cut off by seeing me leaning against the bumper while CC and Jace where inside the trunk. I took off almost knocking my mom down, I heard them jump down and follow me inside.

I can and will admit I have a bit of a cookie addiction especially my mother's chocolate swirl cookies.

I had to work quickly because Jason is taking track and I'm not the fastest girl in the world. Luckily mother had put them on a plate so I grabbed the plate and hid in the nearest closet. I'm just as clumsy as CC so I'm not running upstairs.

"CC I know she ran into this hall so first one to find her takes the cookies and runs" *dang* curse my little brother for knowing me so well. No time I just started to feel around until I found something rubber I felt it again. Jason's Halloween mask from last year perfect!

I stuck a cookie in my mouth and pulled the mask over my head. Hopefully this will scare the *heck* out of who ever finds me.

Heavy foot steps or squeaky converse.

Open ... Close .... Step...... Open ..... Close ...... Step ...... Open ... Close .... Step...... Open ..... Close ...... Step ...... Open ... Close .... Step...... Open ..... Close ...... Step ...... Open ... Close .... Step......

One more foot step and it's at my door. The door opened slowly 'get ready to run' I told myself. CC pulled the door open wide enough for me to run. I jumped out screaming like what I believe the mask would call for and tried to run. CC screamed like a little girl and I stuck another cookie into my mouth running outside.
