The darkness

It's been 4 hours.  Sean,Mac,and I were huddled by the fire Mac made. "What happened Sean.In the wall? He asked Sean. He sat their looking down at his dirty boots. Mac looked away and looked at me "Can I speak To you Elliot." I followed him to the corner. "Listen Elliot he isn't looking to good. In fact he looks like he's about to die." I gave him a sorrow glance and said "I know. So what. When we get back up he will feel better." " I don't think so Elliot. He's been breathing heavy and pacing around the cave. " "Ok so what do you plan to do about it." "I'm just saying when worst comes to worst we can't depend on him to help us. Can I trust you Elliot. With all of this." I gulped hard and said "yes, you can trust me." "Good. I'm going to look around the cave you kept an eye on Sean. Ok?" "Sounds good" I walked back to the fire only to be greeted by Sean. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier. About your brother and all." He said. " It's ok it's just been tough without him ." I said "I want you to know Elliot. It wasn't your fault.None of it. I was the captain it was my fault." He looked down at the fire and started crying. Your brother was a good kid. He just didn't know how to use anything correctly because I didn't look after him. I'm so sorry Elliot. He looked at me and then looked into the darkness. " your a good man like your brother. I know I can count on you Elliot." He looked at me and made a smirk. " what were you talking about with Mac." He asked. "Nothing " I said . He put a depressed look on his face. "when we get out of here everything will be back to normal." We both looked into the darkness and went to sleep.
