What does pink mean?

Chapter Three

"Hello mum." I said as I walked through the door.

"Hello, darling. How was your trip after I left?" she asked.

"Fine. I fell asleep." I sighed.

"Did you see your girlfriend?" she asked smiling.

"She is not my girlfriend, but yes I saw her." I replied frowning and headed up to my room.

There is a week until the full moon. The good news is I'll be with my friends to help me not want to eat people. I don't remember much from when I transform.

Ever since Dumbledore became headmaster the shrieking shack has been open to me for when the full moon comes. It's been habitaiting me and my friends. A stag, a mouse, and a black dog or James, Peter, and Sirius accompany me even though it's illegal activity.

Just for the record I told them not to and that I could deal with it myself.

They said they had to stick with me. I feel like a horrible person. My friends are risking expulsion or arrest because of me.

I totally suck.

I am a horrible person.

And I fell asleep with those thoughts floating around my head.

"Remus, honey, wake up." my mother cooed.

"W-w-What?! I'm up! I'm up!" I yelled.

"You're quite hysterical when you wake up... And when you're awake." mum laughed.

I groaned.

"You've got to get dressed so you can head off to Hogwarts for your last year." mum smiled.

"Yes mum." I smiled.

After my mum walked out I got dressed in my school robes and pinned my prefect badge where it could be easily seen.

Lily and James are head girl and boy this year. Sirius and Peter would never make prefects if their life depended on it. But Tonks was a prefect. I just hoped we would be partnered together for night duties. Even though it's a one in a million chance because we're on two different houses.

When I got to platform nine and three quarters I saw Tonks and she waved at me. Her hair was blonde. Which usually meant she was happy. I waved back still smiling probably looking stupid. Then...

I ran into a pole.

It was humiliating. Her friends laughed at me then she just smiled, shrugged, and then walked away.

She must think I'm an idiot.

"Hey, Moony. I saw what happened earlier." James apologised.

"Yeah I saw it too. It was pretty bad, if you ask me." Sirius laughed.

"Shut up, Padfoot." I said icily.

"Full moon's coming up soon, are you ready?" Peter asked changing the subject.

"Yeah. The shack's open, of course." I replied.

I had to do my business, so I got up to go to the bathroom. I walked about ten compartments down then I ran into somebody.

"Oh... I sorry." I said scrambling to get to my feet.

Then I looked up to see the girl I love.

"Oh... Hi Remus." she smiled, her hair was blonde with pink... I'm not sure what that meant. I knew she was happy, bit there was something else.

"Hi Tonks." I smiled probably looking much too happy.

She did something that shocked me... She blushed?

"Umm.I.. I gotta go... To my friends..." she stuttered.

"Oh Okay. Bye." I smiled.

"I'll see you at Hogwarts." she said, all of her hair turned pink. Just like her cheeks.

I forgot all about my bladder and ran to the Marauders.
