The Alphas mysterious mate

Chapter 2

Apologises for not updating in so long. Anyway here's the second chapter. I also apologise about the language, heads up there will be a lot in this chapter. This is what I imagine Ashley to look like.

Ashley's POV

'Lyra and Carol what aren't you telling me?' I asked them.

'We can't wait for today is all. Nothing to be worried about." Assured Carol.

'Pshh. If Ashley knew what we knew she'd be having a heart-attack right about... Now.' Snorted Lyra.

As I was about to reply to Lyra Valeria came down while dressed as a common, umm, girl?

'*cough*slut*cough*whore*cough.' Lyra coughed as she not so subtlety dissed and insulted her.

''Good thing the evil bitch can't hear you and then tattle on you to her royal highness of the bitches.' Carol smirked.

I snorted out loud without realising. But it had seemed that Valeria caught it as she gave me a dirty glare. Now that doesn't scare me one bit and she probably knows, maybe, too. I looked at her with one eyebrow raised as if telling her to speak or shut the fuck up. God I couldn't stand the bitch at all. And now I'm starting to sound like the bitch, no, this can't be happening.

While I was having an internal battle with myself it seemed as though Valeria tattles on me to her mother.

As Lucy was about to backhand me the beta of the pack, George, came. He looked at her to me then me to her. Staring competition commencing... Now. And I still have time to find situations like this funny.

No one in our pack would disobey the Luna in our pack, and why would they I was the dead Alphas daughter I wasn't anything special.

'How wrong you are Ashley your more special than you know.' Lyra commented wisely.

'When did you get so wise?' I asked.

'In due time child. You are more special and valuable' Carol mysteriously responded.

I knew I wasn't special, I mean both of my parents are dead. Who are my parents? Alpha Jake and Luna Raina Hawthorn of The Sun Pack. I know not original but there's a story behind it, I'll tell another day. But anyway, Alpha Luke and Luna Lily were of different packs at the time, but they were living on the same territory, and since there are two schools here, now one, they didn't know they were mates. My mothers school was burnt down, it will never be rebuilt, so their pack had to transfer to my dads school. And no my parents didn't fall for each other instantly, quite the opposite in fact, my dad was known as the player and when mom found out, let's just say 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned', she went ballistic and made him work to be a mate for her. Dad tried his best but some evil bitch would come in between them, I think we all know who that is *cough*Lucy*cough*, and finally mom gave in. After highschool finished for them dad popped the question, yes they had already completed the mating, and after a year of marriage they found they were having a baby, me! Anyway, Lucy found her mate and had the twins. But around when I was 7 years old mom got sick, we didn't know at the time what had caused it but I know now, she passed away 6 months after she was diagnosed as being sick. Dad went into stricken grief but understood that he needed to take care of me, plus he knew I had both parts of parents so I reminded of mom in a way I guess, so around 2 years later he decided I needed a mom to show me how to be a... Lady? Didn't work out. Lucy's mate also died around that time too, so dad thought it would be good that I needed a motherly figure and, sadly, married Lucy. Lucy was ecstatic that she finally got what she wanted but when she met me things went down hill from there. 3 years later dad suddenly disappeared, how I don't know. I lost mom when I was 7, dad married Lucy when I was 9 and dad disappeared when I was twelve. Lucy poisoned the minds of most of higher rankings but not my dads beta, George, and third-in-command, Tony, they stayed by me and looked after me. Lucy commanded them not to help me, they do it but not in public, and so they have no choice but to follow the command. Although, I might have tweaked it a bit. Since both the Alpha and Luna are gone the responsibility is mine and I have more power over the pack but I have to stay quiet with that information though.

Lucy retracted her hand back away from my face and swiftly turned on her heel and went to Valeria to take to school. I looked at George thanking him with a nod and went to see Rose. As I walked up the stairs I heard whimpers and tears, don't know how I can hear tears but oh well, coming from Roses room. I nearly ran all the way to Roses room and slammed the door open, revealing Rose on the floor crying her heart out. I knew Rose didn't want pity so I walked right over to her plonked down next to her and held her while she sobbed, it hurt knowing the one person you care about is hurting and try as you might you can't let them stop.

"Ro?" I asked tentatively. "What happened?"

Her doe eyes were brimmed with tears and she was hiccuping.

"I know I shouldn't cry." She started. "But they hurt me so much that they enjoy it. How can a mother and sister be so cruel to their kin, a daughter and sister no less, I don't know how you handle them. I can't even stand up to them for you! What kind of friend am I to not something so simple like that." She burst. "You must hate me, my dear friend." She said sighing.

I looked at her in disbelief and rage, not towards her but to her kin. I grabbed her by the shoulders, looked her in the eye and said.

"You, my friend, are my one and only BEST friend." I said as I stressed the best. "How can I hate someone who believes she is worthless, when quite the contrary she is the most humblest person I've ever met. Only a monster and demon take pleasure in seeing their kin hurt, especially if they are a daughter and sister. You've done more for me than you know, your friendship is more than enough, yet you show me kindness that I believe that once you've found your mate they shan't reject you but accept you with welcome arms and you shall be showered with their love. I've told you countless times to stay out of my fights with your mother and sister and that is good enough for me to know that you shan't get hurt from them. But this time they've taken things to far." I ranted.

I didn't realise that I was pacing and she was looking at me with such trust in her eyes, yet her beautiful hazel eyes were filled with tears that were threatening to spill.

"Whoever ends up with you, my dear Ley, shall forever more be happy they got you as a mate." She said. "I almost believe that the moon goddess shall put you with the Alpha of the new pack just to spite mother and Valeria and if so I shall look to them and say 'You've put her down to long, now she stands tall with people who shall love and respect her while you two will have nothing except each other'" she said sighing.

I shook my head knowing that I was not meant to be with the Alpha of The Moon Pack.

"Let's get you ready my dear friend." I said as I helped her up.

Once Rose was finished dressing I pulled her down stairs to Lucy and Valeria. I knew that if either one of them spoke badly towards her I was sure I would lash out and kill the two wastes of space.

'Ley, there shan't be none of that while I'm here of course' Mind-linked Rose.

I smirked knowing fully well that I wouldn't comply. She tugged my hand, making my head turn around. I smiled innocently at her her with my best puppy dog face, she caved. Never go against my puppy face, it always works without fail.

"Ley, let your scent go today, for me please?" Rose begged me.

We couldn't and wouldn't say no to each other so I knew I would comply anyway. I knew she would have questions but I wouldn't be able to answer them in case I revealed myself. It was a bad idea but I still let it go anyway. I'm such a stupid idiot.
