Chapter 11

I kept staring out into the crowd where my parents and John had just disappeared. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion, Harry still had his arms wrapped around my waist smiling still saying he was proud of me. I could see my friends running over to us with huge smiles on their faces, "Is! You were so amazing!" I could hear all my friends praising me, telling me I did a great job hugging me, but I was zoning out. I was in a daze where all I could think about was how my parents just walked out of my life just like I meant nothing to them. 

"Isabel!" Louis waved his hand in front of my face. "Huh?" I blinked looking from where my parents just disappeared to him in a confused state. "Ladies and gentlemen can I have your attention!" Mr. Clyde said interrupting Louis from speaking. "Tonight we had a lot of talented student showcase their talent." He paused and looked at all of us. "So now I am going to announce third place winner." We smiled at each other but I zoned out. Nerves, sadness, pain, everything all hitting me all at once, "Goes to Perrie Edwards!" Perrie smiled and jumped up in excitement before she walked over to Mr. Clyde. We all clapped as she received flowers and a small medal.  

Mr. Clyde cleared his throat waiting for silence. Once we all quieted down he smiles and looked at us. "Second place goes to Harry, Liam, Louis, and Zayn!" All four boys jumped up and hugged each other. Harry hugged me tightly before walking over with the rest of the boys to receive their small medals. We once again cheered as the boys made their way to where Perrie was standing. I could see Perrie hugging Zayn happily. Soon the cheering died down. Niall shuffled closer to me and grabbed a hold of my left hand I felt the sparks that i shouldn't be feeling. I shook it off my classmates and I looked at Mr. Clyde with anticipation wait for him to announce first place. "Now for first place." He turned to look at all of us. I felt Niall squeeze my hand a bit, "two students have tied for first place. Both students have grown so much on these past couple months and both have shocked me tonight. So I am proud to say that first place goes to both Isabel Fields and Niall Horan!"  

I could feel Niall jump up beside me as I turned to him as we both pulled each other into a hug. I felt the floor disappear from beneath my feet as Niall lifted off the ground. He sat me back down then we made our way over to Mr. Clyde. He handed Niall his first place medal before shaking his hand then turned to me and slipped the medal around my neck before handing me flowers, "congratulations you two," he whispered to us before we walked over to the rest of the group of winners.  

Harry smiled at me before pulling me into a hug and kissing my softly, "congrats babe" he whispered. I smiled at him before being pulled into another pair of arms. "Is! That was amazing I was literally in tears backstage!" Perrie squealed as I laughed at her. "Thanks Pez. I guess I can thank my parents for something." I muttered the last part. "What was that Izzy?" Liam asked I looked up at everyone staring at me. "Oh nothing," I faked smiled. Everyone seemed to buy it and not push it any farther. Everyone except Niall who gave me the 'you better tell me later' look. I nodded at him, "so how about we go meet up with Dani and El and have a movie night in our room?" I looked at everyone who nodded, "Can we eat food first I'm staring!" Niall asked. "When are you not starving?" Louis asked Niall as everyone laughed making our way to Danielle and Eleanor. "Isabel and I have food in our room don't worry Niall" Perrie said running Niall's back. He suddenly had a huge smile on his face! "But that doesn't mean you can eat it al!" I turned around pointing at him, his smile disappeared as everyone laughed at us. "Why is everyone laughing?" Dani asked confused. "Izzy just told Niall he can't eat all her food." Liam said Dani and El nodded making an 'o' with their lips. "Okay let's go watch some movies!" Zayn suddenly spoke. I forgot he was here he needs to talk more..

We were half way through Sinister and I was curled up against Harry hiding my face against his chest. So far we watched three movies and the guys insisted on the horror theme. I don't know about any of the girls but after watching Insidious, followed by Mama and now Sinister I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight.
