Robin
Ge walked down from his room in granny's at seven o'clock on the dot. She wasn't there yet, so he grabbed a booth in the back, unable to be spotted when she walked through the door. His hands shook with absolute nervousness. What possible reason did he have to be nervous? He was just getting something to eat at the same time he always did. Which just happened to be the same time she always did.
It's a full 30 minutes before she gets there. And she looks absolutely stunning. A dark red dress with black stockings and heels. Her normal black trench coat over her shoulders and her raven hair left flowing over her shoulders. He was in a complete awe over her. So much so he didn't see granny place his burger in front of him.
He watches as she takes her place at the bar, Jefferson having already arrived and waiting on her. She greets him with a smile and a small hug. She orders her usual, a chicken salad with Italian dressing.
It's a couple of minutes before Robin sees Jefferson scooting closer and trying to get handsy. His hand rubbing her back while she talks about something. Her eyes are watery so it mush be about something sad. When she gives a sad smile is when Jefferson's hand moves lower to the small of her back. She shifts uncomfortably and he only keeps his hand. When she pulls it away, he places it right back.
That's when Robin jumps up and pulls him away. Shocking Regina and Jefferson. The while diner goes quiet. The clink of a fork is heard behind him before he speaks.
"Can't you see she doesn't want to be touched there?" He asks in a low growl. How dare this man make the most beautiful creature on earth uncomfortable?
"Can't you see she doesn't want you anymore?" Jefferson spats back pulling his arm free of Robins grip.
"From what I've head around town. This isn't a date, it's a payback for a favor." He counters and he can see Regina give a small smirk out of the corner of his eye.
"He's right. This isn't a date. It was only a payback for carrying the ice cream earlier today." She tells him and Robin can finally breathe at her words.
"Leave. Now." Robin tells him and he stands taller than Robin, but he doesn't care. He would do anything to keep Regina safe and comfortable.
"I still want that payment." He says and leaves the diner with a slam of the door.
Robin turn signal to face Regina who is glassy eyed and open mouthed like she wants to say something. He just holds his hand up and shushes her before she has the chance to speak.
"I'm sorry. I just couldn't stand to see him touching you, and making you uncomfortable." He explains and turns back to his table but her hand on his shoulder and a small, broken 'Wait' stops him from moving any further. He turns and sees her tears leaking out slowly.
"Thank you." She tells him and hugs him. It's a weak hug, like she's still trying to absorb the fact he is here. And here for her.
He doesn't reply. Just wraps his arms around her waist and tugs her closer. Hugging her tightly and planting his nose in her hair. It smells like apples and cinnamon. It smells like Regina.
Her arms tighter, finally grasping the idea he was back, and back for her. "I missed you." She said shoving her face into the crook of his neck and inhaling his scent. All forest pine and sweat. Something she finds comforting.
"And I you. I have so much Regina. I couldn't stop thinking about you." He said and moves one of his hands to cradle her head, and tangle his fingers in her hair.
She has relaxed now that he's holding her. Now that his arms have finally made their way back around her petite, fragile body. He is relaxing at just the fell of her being in his arms. The feeling he has missed since he crossed that town line nearly three months ago.
