The trees are forcing Vanessa to slow down but she tugs on each one without stopping, just so she can get away. Vanessa is not sure why she is running. She found herself laying in the dirty leaves on the ground in the woods and heard someone coming after her. She had no choice but to run.
As she is running, she trips over something hard. She looks down and sees a skull half buried. She nearly screamed but remembered that someone's following her.
She gets up and hides behind a tree.
She stood quiet until the footsteps became softer. After not hearing anything, she slowly peeks from the tree to see if that person is there.
She sees nothing and takes a breath of relief. Until she felt someone's hands holding her neck.

Vanessa then wakes up from her bed drenched in sweat. She looks at her clock which says 7:30am. She's been having this dream ever since her best friend's death.
She gets up from bed and does her routine in the bathroom.
She then goes down stairs and walk towards the fridge. There was a note from her mother,
I will be working late at the hospital again, I left some money for you to order something. Love you,
MomVanessa throws the note in the trash and grabbed an orange for breakfast. She hasn't eaten regularly since the tragedy.
She turns on the tv and watches the news to see what's new.
After 10 mins of eating an orange and watching the news, she leaves to take a walk around the neighborhood. She does this to help her from being stressed.
Where she lives is right next to the woods but she's been afraid to go in the woods because of what's been happening in her dreams.
She throws on her trench coat since it's the middle of fall and it's been windy all week.
She puts in her headphones and listens to 'Not about Angels' by Birdy and begins to walk.
As she's walking down the sidewalk, she has this feeling as if she is being watched. She looks around noticing nothing.
She continues but still has that weird gut feeling, almost as if someone is following her. She takes out her headphones to hear any footsteps.
After a while, she hears something from the woods. She barely makes a sound.
She begins to hear footsteps coming towards her. There's no one outside she notices, which scares her even more.
As the footsteps becomes louder, she tries to run back home but is stopped by a tall figure.
