Vanessa leaves her hot chocolate and runs upstairs to lock herself in her room. She really wished her mom was here to tell her everything will be ok.
Her mom's not here right now, and Vanessa is all alone.
She then remembers that she has to go to the library to do some research. She quickly gets dress and goes downstairs to get her coat.
She goes to her garage and gets her bike since she always rides her bike everywhere and don't have enough money to buy a car.
The garage door opens and Vanessa peddles out. She was careful to notice if anyone was watching her from her house. She sneaks into the street and rides to the library before anything could happen.
When Vanessa arrived at the library, she begins to have this odd feeling as if someone was watching her. She glances around but doesn't see anyone who looks suspicious.
She tries to let it go but still have that worrying feeling.

As she logs onto the Internet, she types in last murdered victims discovered this week.
The results showed the victims that were mentioned in the news. It clarifies that the criminal who murdered these victims could possibly be similar to the one that had killed her friend, Lindsay.
It was hard for Vanessa to continue but she had to for more information. It also mentions that the criminal has a strange pattern to his killings so, it would be difficult to blame this person who killed Lindsay since the investigators do not have enough relevant evidence.
She researches for more but stops once she notice a girl right next to her dropped her books on the ground unintentionally.
Vanessa decides to help her, "Here, let me."
"Thank you, but you didn't have to do that." The red head replied. After they picked all the books up, Vanessa introduced herself, "I'm Vanessa."
"Hannah." The red head replied, while adjusting her glasses. "I was just looking for a book and I happened to notice the site you were on. Not to be snooping or anything, but if you want to know anything about the 'mysterious killer' I can help. I'm here all the time."
Vanessa was curious of why this stranger would want to help her after just meeting her.
"Thanks, I'll make sure I remember that." Then Vanessa returned to what she was doing. All of a sudden, a paper appears in front of her. She picks it up seeing numbers written on it.
"Here's my number, just in case." Hannah said as she walked away."Ok then," Vanessa said to herself, a little creeped out.

After 2 long hours of not finding much information on different cases, she grabs her stuff and begins to leave. As she exits, she glances to her right and sees a hooded person sitting at a table alone who seems to be watching her.
Vanessa walks out ignoring the hooded person and unchains her bike from the railing.
On her way home, Vanessa becomes cautious when the streetlights turned on, since it was getting dark and no one was outside. She peddles faster to get home quickly.
Arriving at her house, she leaves her bike outside and goes inside to lock her doors. She looks outside her window to see if anyone followed her. She didn't find anyone and felt relieved.
She didn't notice that her mom was here and was frightened by the sound of her in the kitchen.
"Hi honey. I decided to come home early since I haven't seen you in a while and I will be staying home tomorrow as well. So, how was your day?"
Vanessa walked over to hug her mom, "Fine, just went to the library." She didn't want to tell her mom why she was at the library and how she feels like she's being followed so her mom wouldn't worry about her daughter being paranoid or stressed out.
"At least you're going out and not just staying inside the house all the time. By the way, who was that who called earlier today?" She was referring to the person who said "I know you're there", this morning.
"Umm, it was no one. Probably just some prank." Vanessa lies, hoping that her mom would just drop it.
Vanessa's mom senses that her daughter is lying but let's go of the subject. "Ok then, I'm going upstairs to do some left over work from the hospital. Goodnight sweetie." She kisses Vanessa on the cheek and walks upstairs.
"Oh and Vanessa?"
"Yes, ma?"
"Are you ok? You know from what happened?" Vanessa was slightly confused on what her mom was saying but caught on knowing her mom knows that she's still taking it hard and cares.
"Yes ma, I'm ok.""Just want to let you know if there's anything wrong, you can tell me. I'm always here for you."
Vanessa nods her head, "I will, night." Vanessa then goes turns off the lights and makes sure that all the doors are lock. Before she goes to bed, she looks out the window again just to make sure no one was out there.
She doesn't see anything until her eyes met another.
