As we reached the door way Ms. Hosted slowly opened the door. I nervously followed her inside. "Your roommate, Lucas isn't here at the moment. Why don't you unpack?" She suggested, I looked at the bottom bunk and threw my stuff on to it. "No. Thanks I'm all good. I won't be here long." I said with bitterness and resentment. She rolled her eyes and left. She left and I screamed. "FUCK THE WORLD! CAUSE ITS MY LIFE!" the words hit the walls of silence and bounced. It drilled into my head. "Whoa calm down, ponyboy! " the voice laughed. "W-who are you?" I asked, the door opened and a teen walked in. He had a scar on his face, from his scalp to his chin, covering his whole left side of what would have been a charming face. His hair bleach blond, much like mine but lighter, since mine has started to go back to its natural abburn color. "Hi, I'm Lucas. I'm your roommate, I guess, for now anyways." "What do you mean for now?" I asked a bit surprised. "I'm almost 18, as soon as I turn 18 I'm out of here. BASTARDS can't keep me forever." I looked at him, his eyes were big and brown. For some reason he remained me of Dally and Johnny. "You don't deserve to be here do you?" I asked and he looked at me, he took out a cigarette and shook his head. "No, my mom took care of me well enough." I nod my head and took my seat on the bed. "It's only gonna be a week, then maybe you can talk yourself out of here." I sighed, this kid knew more about me then I didn't myself. "H-how do you know the court date?" I asked so scared and confused. "I look at everyone's records, stupid!" He remained me more of Dally then Johnny. "A week can go by fast if you let it."
